There are a total of 42 trees. But, just to clarify, many were sponsored by businesses and non-profit organizations and decorated by our youth. They are not ALL memorial trees.
Thank you for clarifying that Joe. The Town of Oakfield is amazed at the response we had from families, businesses and organizations; next year we hope to have twice as many trees. The ceremony was wonderful and brought our community closer together. Thank you to all who participated and I hope everyone goes to the park and enjoys the lights during this Christmas Season!
It was a great event. That is our tree in the front (kind of center) in memory of my son Tyler who passed when he was 3 1/2. It was nice to have a tree for him and get everyone together to remember fun times together. Maybe in the future there will be trees planted but we liked our cut tree just the same. It was a great turnout for the event and hopefully it will continue for many years.
