Today's Poll: How will you decide who gets your votes in November?

By Howard B. Owens

"I'll vote for the candidates of my political party."

Bound to be sheeple out there that are happy with politics as is.

"I'll vote against every incumbent"

Right now, almost as many voted for this as the best person for the job. It's coming

The first choice should really read:

O I'll vote for who I think is the best person for the job even though I probably won't take the time to read about candidates' backgrounds or explore the issues objectively.

or how about this one:

O I'll vote for the person who most looks and acts like me.

or

O I'll vote for whoever Fox News, the NRA, my church, (fill in the blank) tells me to vote for.

I think this poll is going to be really skewed. I believe that a majority of people who come to this site and take the time to vote in this poll will vote for the best person for the job.

As for the general public, they will vote for a name they recognize or the incumbent. If they don’t recognize the names on the ballot they will pull their party lever. It doesn’t matter who the incumbent is, like sheep, people will pull their lever everytime.

Since only about 35% of registered voters in NY bother to vote in a mid-term, non-presidential year, if someone can figure out how to get even half of the remaining 65% to come out and vote for them, they could win!!

Considering that I can't get behind anything the Board of Ed is doing I will probably vote for the people who's names I do not recognize haha

Dennis-

you forgot one choice...

O I'll vote for whoever MSNBC, CNN, the ACLU, my union or any union (fill in the blank) tells me to vote for.
