Vacant house on fire on Pratt Road, Pembroke

A vacant house is reportedly on fire at 2881 Pratt Road.

East Pembroke Fire was initially dispatched.

Tankers from Batavia, Corfu and Oakfield requested to the scene.

UPDATE 9:18 p.m.: Fire police requested to shut down Pratt at Powers and Miller roads.

UPDATE 9:48 p.m.: Alabama tanker requested to the scene.

UPDATE 9:52 p.m.: Alabama tanker not available. Pembroke and Indian Falls tankers requested to the scene.

I took some photos of it, check you email. It is one house over from mine, and from what I could tell it was a practice fire. They were over there a few hours before it started, but I couldn't tell what they were doing. I now assume they were prepping it for the burn

Just talked to an East Pembroke firefighter who was on the scene. Apparently it was a real fire, not a practice burn. Corfu Fire had been practicing in the vacant structure earlier in the day, but no one is sure what caused the blaze yet.
