Cat on porch preventing homeowner from getting in the house

By Alecia Kaus

Batavia police are responding to a residence on State Street to help a homeowner with a cat that is preventing the resident from getting in the house.

The cat is located on the porch and won't leave. Dispatch says it might be 110 or 115 State St.

I've met some unruly cats, but can't this one be chased off the porch? Maybe it's been abused and is just searching for food and water. Best of luck to the resident and animal.

We have two indoor cats and Bast knows they can be recalcitrant at times. However the dirty looks I receive from them when remove them from my chair before I can sit down doesn’t hold a candle to this.

WTF, did someone really call the Police because, the big bad putty tat was blocking them from getting into their house? Simple solution and without wasting tax payer dollars. Kick the damn cat out of the way. Oh, before all you self-righteous animal lovers cry foul. You can kick a cat hard enough to move it out of the way without hurting it. What a waste of the Officer's time not mention such a f-ing joke. If, pet owner's can't take care of the pet then, DO NOT get a pet. It is bad enough people let their cats roam around the neighborhood tearing through trash can, pissing and crapping in other home owner's yard. Or worst of all dumping a cat off on someone's farm because, they assumed the cat will be fine.
