Today's Poll: Should Obamacare be repealed?

By Howard B. Owens

Not have read all 8000 pages of the original bill, I am not an expert on all the ins and outs of this law.....just what I read in the papers and on-line. This law puts an unfair burden on the small business owner. In a lot of cases forcing them to shut down or reduce the employees hours. Also, using the IRS to exact a financial penalty on non compliance is out of range for this already bloated federal department.

I would imagine support for this legislation (here on TheBatavian) would be very different compared to prior to its passing. I seem to remember there being polls on it then. We no longer have to deal in rhetoric and assumption when it comes to the laws content. When Nancy Pelosi declared that we had to pass it to see what's in it, she was absolutley right. Now we know for the most part what is in it and it is precisely the crap sandwhich many thought it was. Not only Republicans and big business are against it, but rapidly growing numbers of labor unions and Democratic lawmakers. The idea of coverage for everyone and coverage for pre-existing conditions are just and noble ideas, Obamacare and all its unsustainable costs, hidden agendas, and bait and switch trappings is not. It is still not fully implemented and it is only going to become more and more onerous. It has to go, BUT, Republicans have to be able to implement a workable alternative to replace it

Edit* I found one prior poll:

How can they ignore this kind of results. Doesnt matter anyways the next prez. Will do away with anything having to do with this mess Dem or Repub. Who would want to be associated with the mess Obama Has created.
Single person coverage price currently $250-700 amonth under new plan slightly higher. Who can afford this and if you dont buy your fined by the IRS and we all know what happens if you dont pay that scam of a power hungry agency...If you recieve an income tax return kiss it goodbye.

TP, as an example of this "law" supposedly formed to improve the health of our fellow citizens, buried within it is how the fed will further impose on the private sector by expanding their involvement in student loans and adding about 7500 IRS workers. Ask the obama administration how it justifies this, and you won't get an answer,

This policy is the greatest scar on our nation's founding principles, and shoves us even further down the road to destruction..

Hmmm Let's see

IRS to coordinate benefits eligibility

IRS currently being investigated for targeting groups for political belief

IRS supervisor who headed office that targeted groups now in charge of Obama care in IRS

Think about that.

It is a bit scary that the IRS will be managing health care. Among all the other ills that mess will create. I thank the Lord so many times that I now work for a very small firm, way less than 50 employees, because corporate peon life did not work for me very well as anyone who has ever read anything I wrote might have guessed. It won't really affect us too much, except it'll just keep costing more, which it was going to anyway. Until the government gets it's greased palms out of health care, it'll never cost less or get better.

These programs are just for the ignorant masses. The elite members of the ruling class need to have the better options and the better care because they are essential to the herding and husbanding of the masses... Apparently, the Unions didn't get the memo that they are just another segment of the ignorant masses that must be herded and husbanded. I wonder where that memo went?
