All you animal lovers will jump all over this Judging by some of the recent comments, not only should it be a felony, but the prep should be hanged and then drawn and quartered.

Hanged. People get hanged. Coats get hung. And it's hanged, drawn, and quartered. And yes, a felony just like DWI... DA prerogative to drop it to misdemeanor, repeat offenders get the felony charge.

Oh yeah, felony for sure with mandated jail time, put on a state wide abuse registry and ordered to never own/have access to another animal. Yes 2 "citizens" are due in court again today, they should both have lengthy jail terms because it was intentional abuse. Unfortunately they are charged with misdemeanors. Animal protection laws also need to be moved out of ag/marketing and put in to the penal code.

Not only should it be a felony, the perpetrator should be never allowed to own pets again. We raised 360.00$ for Nina kelsos "FORMER" dog, foxer. I am hoping he finds a good home and deserves the best care possible, for what he has been through. I am also hoping , she never has the opportunity to own a pet again, unless it's a fish....and I am skeptical about even that!

Pretty amazing... 3 to 1 the people have voted, that cruelty to animals should "simply" be a felony. And how many forms of cruelty between people does Not rise to the level of Felony?

Bring in the Horse Homeland Security, the Mice Mind Police, Dog Defamation, and the Gecko Gestapo.
