Northwoods Alpacas, located at 6499 North Lake Road in Bergen, is one of four area alpaca farms participating in the seventh annual Alpaca Country Trail on Sept. 27 and 28.

It is the only participant in Genesee County.

Rain or shine, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. you are welcome to visit these farms located along a 30-mile route.

This free event is part of National Alpaca Farm Days.

Bring your family on a fun and educational day trip. Start at any participating farm and have the opportunity to see, feel and feed some beautiful alpacas and learn more about why they are bred. Experience spinning and fiber-crafting demos, buy one-of-a-kind heirloom quality alpaca products and enjoy some wholesome, family friendly fun.

As you travel from farm-to-farm, be sure to get your souvenir booklet stamped. When you reach the last farm, show them the completed booklet to receive a ticket for an alpaca product raffle, with an approximate retail value of $200.

The other participants are:

Genna-rations Farm, 1536 W. Kendall Road, Kendall

Stoney Meadows Alpacas, 16038 Glidden Road, Holley

SanGer-La Alpacas, 2845 Colby St., Brockport
