Tour of Native American Fort Site in “Indian Woods”

Did you know that at one time Oakfield was the home to one of the largest Native American forts? On October 15th starting at 11:00 we will be hosting a tour of this site, explaining the rich history. Tickets will be for sale at Warner’s Flower Shop for $5.00 per person. You must register at the research center and get your wrist band to get on the wagon. You must be able to walk on uneven ground. You must wear appropriate clothing and boots or sneakers, NO FLIP FLOPS. Children must be accompanied by an adult. There will be 3 runs 11:00, 12:00 & 1:00. (Raindate will be October 22nd) This is private property no one will be allowed onsite without a wrist band. Seats are limited to 30 people per wagon-load on a first come, first served basis upon ticket purchase. Sign in at the museum (7 Maple Avenue) 30 minutes prior to your time slot. Refreshments will be available as you browse our artifacts and representative re-creations.
