Under the supervision of the Western Shared Business Network (WSBN) administrative management team, coordinate all required financial responsibilities of the WSBN member counties. Will ensure standard operating procedures and compliance with regard to budget creation and monitoring; general ledger maintenance, association financial reporting; A/P vouchering and check payments; implementing customized vouchers; A/R invoice creation; electronic deposits; Effort Tracking Worksheet; FORM code policy and procedure; train Association staff in appropriate FORM Code policy and procedure as needed to ensure consistent finance administration throughout the WSBN. Provide support to WSBN associations regarding ACCPAC, Brio, Web Financials, Kuali and other finance technologies. Coordinate the adoption, implementation and operation of new finance technologies as requested by Extension Administration or Cornell University. Act as the initial provider to WSBN of finance assistance in routine matters, including FORM Code interpretation. Provide Extension Administration with reports as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Specify required minimum equivalency for education, experience, skills, information systems knowledge, etc.
•Associate's Degree in business, accounting, finance or similar area and 4 years of experience in a financial, bookkeeping or accounting position. Bachelor's Degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
•Experience to include budget preparation and management, accounts receivable/payable tracking, expense/revenue tracking, cash flow tracking, reconciliation, reporting, compliance, and grants/contracts management
•Excellent computer skills, including computer networking
•Previous work with computer finance programs, Excel, and Word.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Specify preferred specialized education, field and/or certifications.
•Previous work with ACCPAC and non-profit accounting
•Knowledge of FASB (Financial Accounting Standards Board) standards
•Experience preparing complex budgets. Extension and Cornell University will be expanding its use of sophisticated financial software and web interfaces (ACCPAC, Kuali, brio, etc.), and the employee should be able to manage the utilization of those systems by the network and Associations. The employee should be able to demonstrate a history of using such systems and a willingness to learn and use new systems. The employee will provide finance related training to other finance staff in the WSBN, as well as to other staff when appropriate. The employee will work closely with finance staff on campus and in the Association, so the employee should work well both in a team setting and alone.
