Per Google, the stretch of Rt. 237 (Byron-Holley Rd.) at Pumpkin Hill between Cole Rd. and North Byron Rd. is labeled as South Byron Rd. That makes no sense as it is misplaced in relationship to the hamlet of South Byron and it is geographically north of Byron Center. I don't recall any existing signage to that effect, nor does the county tax map confirm that designation. According to the county map that stretch of Rt. 237 is Byron-Holley Rd. South of Byron Center Rt. 237 is known as Byron-Stafford Rd. Also designated as County Rd. 19/19A, Batavia-Byron Rd. is simply known as Byron Rd. within the Town of Byron and bears no directional prefix on either side of Townline Rd. (AKA EBB Rd./Rt. 262). It would seem that there is no South Byron Rd. except in the imagination of Google. I will defer to my neighbors in Byron to correct me if I'm mistaken.

I figured it was probably a Google thing. I live in the northern part of Byron and I've never seen a South Byron Rd in my travels.

FWIW though Billie your edit is still incorrect. Route 237 is Byron-Holley Rd where Warboys intersects from the east... and Warboys then turns into Batavia-Byron Rd west of 237. If you're not confused enough yet let me know and I'll throw a few more at you from this area that makes giving directions to strangers a real treat.

Especially confusing, the assortment of names for Rt. 262. It is known as Townline Rd. in Bergen, West of Byron it is known as Elba-Byron Rd., at some point it becomes EBB Rd. (Elba-Byron-Bergen Rd.), Ford Rd. and then Drake St. between Elba and Oakfield. I've heard blame assigned to the County Highway Department for the EBB Rd. concept. Despite a road sign or two bearing that name, the general public has ignored the fabrication.
