Today's Poll: Do you believe Stormy Daniels?

By Howard B. Owens

The Russian collusion mantra hasn't worked for them, and now the Media; ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN is trotting out a has-been, wanna-be in the spotlight again hooker-porn star. Their hypocrisy is on display for all to see, in the news time between President Clinton, and President Trump.

I saw snippets of Anderson Cooper's interview. If this is what passes on CNN for investigative journalism, Heaven help

The idea that network news didn't cover sex scandals involving Bill Clinton as fully as those involving Donald Trump is ludicrous and on its face a lie. I'm old enough to remember what actually happened. There was no bigger news story at the time. It swamped everything else.

There is no hypocrisy in reporting what is a legitimate news story now.

Where the double standard lies is on the right, filled with people who wanted Clinton impeached or worse. Their response now? Defensiveness, downplaying, "it doesn't matter," "it's between Trump and his wife." (Gee, sounds familiar, but, oh, that was the Democrats saying that before.) Those on the right who are concerned about consistency and credibility should be treating Trump as they treated Clinton.

What happened to the right's concern for having moral leaders? I truly miss those days.

Also, Cooper's interview wasn't on CNN.

The only Russian collusion mantra has come only from Trump himself. He's the only one who ever uses that word. News stories merely report new developments in the investigation, which they continue to do, and will continue to do, and should, as a matter of sound journalistic ethics, continue to do. It's an important story not because of Trump but because we shouldn't tolerate Russian interference in our politics. True patriots understand this.

Do the progressives really think that the US has become so dumbed down that we are going to be lectured by high school children and then by a whore? What's next... Hillary Clinton gonna be back in the spotlight.

@Brian

You all voted a reality star with clear background issues into office because of 'MAGA' and building a wall. Did you think that indicated intelligence?

I never said I saw news anchor for CNN, Anderson Cooper, interview the washed up porn star on the CNN network. I saw snippets of the 60 minutes interview by CNN News Anchor Anderson Cooper on Youtube.

I’m old enough to remember the continuous swamp coverage from the major networks making excuses for President Clinton, attacking the credibility of these women. They covered everything Hillary said about them, trailer trash, Bimbo eruptions, etc., and see YOUTUBE.

The idea that network news covered sex scandals involving Bill Clinton as the same as involving Donald Trump is ludicrous and on its face a lie

Paula Jones’s story is and was a legitimate news story. Why wasn’t Paula interviewed by 60 Minutes then and why not now? Kathleen Willey’s story is and was a legitimate news story. Why wasn’t Kathleen interviewed by 60 Minutes then, and why not now? Juanita Broaddrick’s story is and was a legitimate news story. Why wasn’t Junnita interviewed by 60 Minutes? And why not now?

Paula Jones alleged Governor Bill Clinton sexually harassed her in a hotel room in 1991. Stormy Daniels contends her affair was consensual with a man not holding office.

Kathleen Willey, alleged President Clinton groped her in the White House. Stormy Daniels contends her affair was consensual with a man not holding office.

Juanita Broaddrick alleged President Clinton raped her. Stormy Daniels contends her affair was consensual with a man not holding office.

How they cover, now and who they choose to cover, then, smacks of hypocrisy.

I have to agree with Hillary on this one; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQ7543nJngk

Where are you, Anderson Cooper? Where are you, NBC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC. and CNN?

Newbusters is for right wing wacko "reporters" and "journalists" too inept to make it on to Fox or WorldNewDaily... and that is saying something.

And to add to Howard's comment on coverage of the Clinton sex scandal - If coverage wasn't so wide and thorough, I don't think I'd have had a dinner companion once go into a 10 minute rant about "the immoral bastard in office that is destroying this country because she had to try to answer her 8-year old's question of 'what is oral sex?'"

If 8-year olds were seeing that on TV, then coverage was thorough and wide.

You must have been living in a different country back then, Rich.

The pundits eviscerated Clinton. That's why there were impeachment hearings.

News reporters reported it straight then as they do now. Be careful about conflating factual news reporting with punditry.

I know, they don't fit with your political worldview, Tim, however, you can find links to News Busters-the Media Research Center on Fox News and Youtube. I can think of a slew of Jokes, regarding oral sex, surrounding the Clinton family as a whole, but I decline to tell them here.

The only thing i have to say is who cares if trump was banging a porn star.....what does it have to do with being president? Why should a man's (or woman's) past sex life have to do with anything political?

Howard, back at you regarding our country of residence pertaining to this discussion.
What passed for hard news stories then, slanted to various degrees of punditry, as they do now, depending on the subject or person involved.

I'm with Cheryl #1 and Jeff #13...... I feel sorry for the First Lady. Even though she didn't do anything wrong, she must be embarrassed. I hope we get to know her.

I'm not aware of stories slanting to punditry. I'm only aware of punditry and news stories, two very distinct classes.

Just because you don't like the facts of a story doesn't make it punditry or biased.

The first link is an opinion piece. The second and third, some random website (completely meaningless); fourth and fifth , opinion polls (proof of nothing except opinions a bunch of people say they have), and for the sixth and seventh, nothing there proves systematic bias. In fact, the opposite -- when bad conduct among journalism's ranks is found it's dealt with harshly by the profession, proving once again (thank you Rich), this is a great profession populated by journalists who care about telling the truth and we don't tolerate those who don't.

No, thank you, Howard, you are giving your opinion on things as you see it. I'm not saying all Journalists are bad. And as for dealing with the bad ones harshly; harshly is subjective.

Thomas... why? Because Cooper's not a god-fearin' booby-lovin' studly all-American heterosexual?

That pussy-grabbing con-man Trump is a (self-stated) god-fearin' booby-lovin' studly all-American heterosexual. I think it is obvious that you cannot judge the character of a person by their sexual preference.

I agree with you, Tim, that you shouldn't judge a person by their sexual preference. I don't know what Anderson Cooper's sexual preferences are and I don't care.

I don't know what Jerry Springer's sexual preferences are and I don't care. I also don't watch him. Jerry's name is synonymous with trashy and creepy. Jerry interviews hookers, and porn stars all the time, and Jerry's videos are on YOUTUBE. Type Jerry Springer interviews porn stars, or hookers in the search bar.

New's Anchor for CNN, Anderson Cooper's 60 Minutes interview with hooker-porn Stormy Daniel's is available on Youtube. I'd like to see Saturday Night Live do a comedy skit where actors portraying Anderson Cooper and Jerry Springer try to outdo each other interviewing a porn-star hooker, and Stormy can play herself.

Well Tim, at least the con-man has NEVER been impeached!! Take Rt. 20 West until you hit Lake Erie, then swim north if you don't like it here. Better yet, take a row boat with Anderson & dave for company?

Sorry, Thomas... you are stuck with me. I believe in working to improve this country, not running away. If you are offended by the existence of others who do not agree with your viewpoint, feel free to take your own advice, though.

As to the pussy-grabbing con-man... let's see what comes out in the wash.

Really... we need to wait to see what comes out of the various investigations and lawsuits.
