Today's Poll: Do you support proposal by Chris Collins to double gas tax to pay for infrastructure?

A better idea would be to give back the 4.7% tax break that top tax bracket got when Trump raised the deficit a couple of trillion. Or cut military spending by 10%. Are these clowns really Republicans? Double that tax, so you can hit the peons that voted for you and Trump right in the gonads.

I guess it's okay as long as it's not a "new" tax, he just wants to double the old one. Why isn't this idiot in prison where he belongs?

Cut military spending by 50 percent in 10 percent yearly increments. Increase gas taxes 50 percent by the same method with all proceeds from new taxes directed solely to electric car infrastructure and solar infrastructure.

Sounds good on paper. But the reality of it is once it passed, the funds are sipond off to either the general NYS fund or find their way to fund some NYC transit project. All I can relate to is the push to legalize gambling with the promise that the proceeds woould be used for education. How did that work out??

I wouldn't support anything that Chris Collins would propose, especially something about funding. He has committed financial crimes and should be in jail.
