I don't think we'll have time for a war...2018 the year a nuclear bomb, the real Mother of all bombs, lands on Niagara Falls. Somebody pisses off the Rocketman and BABOOM Western N.Y. as we know it is gone as well as most of us. The ones who do make it out alive are praying to god for another one... dog eat dog....hey Eugene, how's that for gloom ? .......

Calmly, friends. Calmly we go.

North Korea has (maybe) the capability to land a single nuclear warhead on the continental US. The result would necessarily be the end of the North Korean atrocity. Kim knows this. The primary reason he is developing nuclear capability is to gain status on the world stage.

With the help of unsavory actors, including William Jefferson Clinton (I am old enough to remember), he has gotten to the point of being able to bluster his way onto the international stage. But he wants to be able to stay in that limelight. So, no, he will not be starting any nuclear wars.

The President of the US knows this. He also knows that Kim isn't suicidal. So tweaking the "little rocket man" is not going to cause him to commit suicide. It is going to give him just enough attention to feel relevant while not feeding into Kim's narcissism and letting him think he could actually survive doing anything stupid.

Appeasement sends the wrong message to the savage. Your kindness is a demonstration of weakness to them and your compassion is an opening to advance their position. Never mistake the savage for a civilized being. Kim is a savage, make no mistake.

This may offend those of you that think that if you sit down over a cup of tea with another human being you can solve any dispute. Sorry, I have bad news for you.

I have sat down for tea with people who wanted to kill me and you. Our common humanity was not relevant to the discussion. The Taliban wanted me and you dead. Nothing personal, I assure you. It was polite and it was cordial.

But when I left they still wanted me and you dead. And they did their best to kill me and my comrades. It is really not "one world", however much you may wish it was.

It is not wise to start a premise with "Things should be this way" and then act as if they actually are that way. They are not.
