Corwin campaign critical of Pelosi support of Hochul

By Howard B. Owens

Press release:

WILLIAMSVILLE – Career politician Kathy Hochul joined Nancy Pelosi for a swanky fundraiser in New York City last night, underscoring the deep admiration between the two liberal Democrats. The event continues a weeklong showing of affinity from Hochul towards the former Speaker of the House, an icon to the liberal special interest groups funding Hochul’s campaign. On Tuesday, Hochul said that Pelosi did “a great job for this country” during her time as Speaker, despite the fact that during Pelosi’s time as Speaker our country borrowed trillions more dollars from China and millions of jobs were lost.

“Kathy Hochul’s proud support of Nancy Pelosi shows she just doesn’t understand the congressional district she wants to represent, which isn’t surprising considering she doesn’t even live here,” said Matthew Harakal, Communications Director for Jane Corwin for Congress. “It comes as no surprise that Pelosi would expect Hochul to report back to her, considering that Hochul is Pelosi’s handpicked candidate. Kathy Hochul has followed Nancy Pelosi’s lead in supporting massive tax increases, the Obama health care law, and growing government, but where does she disagree with Pelosi?”

This is at least the second time in recent weeks that Hochul has traveled to New York City for a posh fundraiser with downstate leaders who have helped decimate Western New York’s economy, all the while leaving Western New Yorkers behind.

“Kathy Hochul just doesn’t get it,” Harakal added. “Voters across the country rejected Nancy Pelosi’s tax-and-spend economic policies which have brought our economy to a screeching halt, but Kathy Hochul continues to push that same failed agenda. Maybe Kathy Hochul should actually spend some time in the district and instead of sipping champagne with liberal special interests in Manhattan, explain to taxpayers why she thinks it’s smart to raise taxes on job creators to fund her ideas for growing government.”

Meanwhile, Karl Rowe comes in with 600K for Corwin.Wasn't he the guy who ran W's reign of out of control spending and the needless slaughter of our troops?

There is nothing more hypocritical than a woman who inherited $150 million dollars and lives in the toniest section of NY26 throwing around words like "Posh" and "Swanky."

So Jane Corwin is upset that out-of-district Liberal groups are supporting her opponent's candidacy. Funny, I don't remember hearing Corwin complain when Karl Rove's American Crossroads group sank $650,000 into her campaign. Apparently it's alright for a multi-million dollar outside group to fund your candidacy only if you're a Republican.

Harakal must think we are idiots unable to recall events as recent as yesterday. I wish he would read a newspaper every so often instead of relying on his own press releases. Notice not a single word here about Medicare, Corwin's "Achilles Heel". Even Boehener wouldn't mention it in his visit.

Apologies to Achilles.

I for one, am tired of all this political crap. Year after year, election after election, it's the same old "song and dance"; but nothing ever changes.

I'll be glad when the election is over, so we all can have a little break for a while, and not have any more B.S. crammed down our throats.

I would suggest a drinking game for every time Corwin's campaign uses the name "Pelosi", but I don't want anyone to get alcohol poisoning.

Seriously, connecting Hochul to Pelosi is beyond weak at this point.

As to Hochul needing to, "actually spend some time in the district and instead of sipping champagne with liberal special interests in Manhattan"... Really? Corwin's people are going to go there? I'm pretty sure Hochul has spent a lot of time in public places talking to regular people...unlike Corwin.

With all the cheesy and dirty stuff the Corwin campaign has said or done, I suggest people vote for anyone other than Corwin. Vote for Hochul, Davis, Murphy, Bellavia, Jeff Allen, Howard Owens, Billie Owens, Brandon Burger (nod to my brother), Chris Charvella's Ewok, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck or even the Loch Ness Monster...but please don't vote for Corwin. Send her the message that she can't play us like we're a bunch of mindless yokels, that's obviously what she thinks we are.

Write in Jeff Allen...I am 100% serious about this. I have no money to commit to it, I have no political experience, I have no ties or debts to anyone politically. What I do have is a set of values that I refuse to waiver from for the sake of political expediency. The time is now to send a message to the establishment that foisting candidates on us that they THINK share our values no longer cuts it. Politics as usual no longer cuts it. Political shenanigans no longer cut it. Slander, negativity, and lies no longer cut it. Buying elections no longer cuts it. All I have to promote my write-in endeavor is this venue, word of mouth and social media, but I truly believe the time has come for the actual "average taxpayer" to have a voice in government. On Tuesday May 24th write in Jeff Allen
