What a shame. So many of the restaurants in Batavia follow one of 2 or 3 formats leaving little real variety to choose from. Margarita's offered a change of pace. I'll miss it.

Man, That really is a shame. I will miss that place. Wonderful food. Different then every other place in town. I would like to know the reason behind the closing though... Just the nosey in me I guess

Wow...we were just there. Sorry to see yet another unique business leave.

Plus just found out that Blockbuster is closing too. Must be all that economic development we are committed to.

We were just there Friday night. The service was unusually poor and so was the food, especially the portions. Some tables were getting the complementary chips and salsa, and some were not (like my table!)

Anyway, our waitress indicated to us that they were closing for a couple weeks, and then a friend of ours came in who knows the owner and said they were closing for a couple months to remodel the whole inside. Maybe something to follow up on, if possible?

This is very sad news! I have always enjoyed Margarita's. So few choices around here if you are vegetarian. Wouldn't it be great if really were for remodelling? :(

Yeah Blockbuster wont be missed at all, that business model is old and washed up. Netflix and digital media is a very welcome wave of the future. They priced themselves right out of business nationwide. Its probally been 5 years or more since i had any desire to walk into one. Also like Kevin said, its very old news.

However, its very hard to get good mexican food digitally online so Margarita's WILL be missed. :)

I too am curious if its a failure to comply and pay taxes again? It cannot be from lack of business, they were always busy, so my guess is poorly run business.
Sad....
