Photos: Candy cane production at Oliver's Candies

By Howard B. Owens

While you may still be thinking about Halloween candy, the folks at Oliver's need to think decidedly further ahead -- like Christmas. Candy cane production started today. Here's a few photos of the process.

Best candy @ Olivers! Great pics Howard. Esp. loved the 4th one. Blurry on top and bottom, but the middle totally in focus. Really COOL.

Keep up the great work to the employees who work at Oliver's. You are appreciated. :) Sweet dreams & thank you! ♥

Mardell, F5 @ 1/125 of a second. Depth of field makes all the difference, or at least it did in the old days when human interaction with your camera wasn't optional. I believe that Howard sleeps with his camera under the pillow. Billie has the gun, Kudos Dudeoes!

Bob, dirty gloves and dirty hands are the same thing. I don't believe there was any dirty anything going on here. True professional candy makers wash their hands way more than necessary and I believe in my heart that the red white and blue blooded candy makers at Oliver's Candy of Batavia, New York are professionals. God Bless Western New York and Fug da rest of y'all bums out der everywhere. Friday night, holy shit, again already? Everything is speeding up as the days wane. Twang.
