Photos: This morning in Genesee County

By Howard B. Owens

Yesterday, the weather forecast for this morning sounded promising for photography, so my morning plan was to get out early and see what pictures I could take. There weren't many clouds nor much low-lying fog, but once out, might as well snap a few frames.

Above, the sunrise from Roanoke Road, Pavilion. Below, a field on Transit Road, Bethany and the back side of the Flemming barn (which I've featured before) in Bethany.

Howard you make going on the Batavian enjoyable every morning. You have a God given gift at capturing local landscapes and old barns and cemetaries.I was wondering if you could show some pictures of the sand wash on cedar street at Dewitt Park in the morning when the sun comes up and is glistening on the water it reminds me of on golden pond because the sun makes the water look like gold and the sounds of the geese and other birds make it worth your while going there. Also there are trains next to there and I know your great at taking pictures of trains could you please post some?

Rural is pretty damn cool. Just like I remember it. Except when you are walking, and walking, and walking. Then you wish rural was a tad more urban.
