Police Beat: Marijuana possession charge

By Howard B. Owens

Jennifer Jean Fracek, 20, of Batavia-Stafford Townline Road, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Fracek was charged after College Village security contacted the Sheriff's Office with a claim that Fracek was found in possession of marijuana during a security investigation.

I wonder how much it actually costs tax payers to tie up an officer's time and the court's time with simple possession busts. Couldn't the system handle simple possession charges like a parking ticket or better yet, choose not to prosecute at all?

Words to live by from Chris Hillman and Gram Parsons.
Just think, if we each paid ten dollars a year more in local taxes they wouldn't need to shake us down.
I know and Doug knows, what the hell is wrong with the rest of my people? Speak up and make yourselves heard by voting for Ian Murpny NY-26 on Special Election day. Ian is special and he has a special place in his heart for other special people as well. If we were comparing brain power, I would concede before I let him win. That's the kind of guy I am. "You win, now get lost is how I feel about most people but not about Ian." It's that anti-establishment, anti- phony, unless it is for the good of mankind and journalism, gene he has that I admire because I think I possess a trace of it too. One can only hope. Vote, even if it's raining.
I want to ride on this guy's coattails, because he's going places.
