Today's Poll: How do you plan to vote on the Van Detta project?

I grew up in Batavia, and lived in Batavia for the first 50 years of my life. My wife and I own several pieces of investment properties in the city. My bussiness, the building, and the premises we operate out of are in Batavia. I spend most of my day, every day, in Batavia. I have a real vested interest in this community. But because we live in East Bethany, out of the district, we are not allowed to vote on how our own tax dollars are being spent.

However, the people that are on public assistance, that don't pay a single cent of school tax, get to vote on how MY MONEY is spent.

Where is the justice? What gives the B.O.E. the right? Where does their craziness end?

I realize I gave my vote away, but that still doesn't make it right. There is still an injustice. It is still MY MONEY, and I have no say.
