Toddler falls from second-story window on East Avenue

A toddler reportedly fell from the second-story window of a residence on East Avenue earlier this evening.

The condition of the child is not available at this time.

The child was taken by ground ambulance to UMMC.

The exact circumstances of the fall are not available at this time.

Agreed Tammy. We have no clue what happened. Maybe a screen was knocked out of the window. I'm sure that the mother is feeling terrible enough about this without people who have no clue what happened judging her. I'm praying for a full recovery for the baby.

The baby is fine he is my nephew and no she was not drinking she walked down stairs for 2 sec and her him cry she went to their room to check and the 4yr old said he was out side the windows are low and was locked the 4 yr old unlocked it and opened it ut is real easy to do she told her landlord about it and he told her to lock it she did and look what happen

Perhaps you can sue the landlord for having a window that locks and unlocks too easy ? Until then maybe a hammer and a nail might be helpful.
