Gail M. Rehac

Gail M. Rehac, 74 of Akron, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday (December 5, 2015) at Roswell Park Cancer Institute after a brief illness.

She was born October 20, 1941 in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late John and Geraldine Murray Colleran.

Gail and her late husband, Rick, were the proprietors of Gail & Rick’s Tavern in Akron. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and was a longtime fan of the Buffalo Bills. Gail was also a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and the Akron community.

She was the wife of the late Fredrick “Rick” Rehac, who passed away in 1993 and sister of the late Sherry Fish.

Survivors include her children, Richard (Brenda) Rehac of Alden, Dawn (George) Emerling of Clarence, Kevin Rehac of Jersey City, NJ and Shawn Rehac of Akron, OH. Grandchildren, Molly Rehac, Daniel Rehac, Dustin Emerling, Laura Emerling, Katie Emerling and Kelsey Emerling. Brother, Ronald (Jeanne) Colleran of Hamburg. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share their thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Tuesday (Dec. 8th) from 4-9pm at the J. LEONARD MCNADREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 32 John St., Akron, NY, where a funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery in Akron.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Akron Fire Company or Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
