Grace W. Cooper

LeRoy / Stafford ~ Grace W. Cooper, age 91, of E. Bethany-LeRoy Road, passed away Friday morning (Feb. 19, 2016) at United Memorial Medical Center.

    

Mrs. Cooper was born November 14, 1924 in York, N.Y., a daughter of the late Lester and Edith Doane Ingalls.

     She will be remembered as the loving and devoted matriarch of her family.  Her grandchildren were her inspiration. She loved to go camping with them and watch her grandsons race.  She was a devoted member of the LeRoy United Methodist Church, worked at the LeRoy School in the laundry dept. and was the bookkeeper for Cooper Collision. Aside from her family, she enjoyed quilting, embroidery and working in her rose gardens.

     She is survived by her son, Ricky (Laurie) Cooper of Stafford; grandchildren, Denny (Shannon) Yauchzee, Ricky (Kelly) Cooper, Amy Cooper, Abbey (Dave) Cooper Wilson, Katie Bogan, Larry (Sarah) McLaughlin, Luke Yauchzee and Gavin Yauchzee; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Tommy and Scott Cooper, Hanna, Brooklyn and Bailey Wilson, Taylor (Chris Parker) Yauchzee  and Cole Yauchzee, Will and Jonathan Bogan; great-great-grandchildren, Chloe, Xander and Marley Parker; sister-in-law and brother -in-law, Betty (Connie) Snyder of LeRoy, sister-in-law, Janice Cooper of LeRoy, along with several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Oliver P. Cooper Jr. in 2014, her daughter, Linda Yauchzee and 5 siblings.

     Family and friends may call on Monday from 3 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy.  Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the LeRoy United Methodist Church, 10 Trigon Pk.  Interment in Machpelah Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either her family or to Crossroads House, P.O. Box 403, Batavia, NY 14021.
