ARLENE M. "CONNIE" DUKEN
Age 86, of Batavia, died peacefully Sunday afternoon April 24, 2016 at Genesee County Nursing Home. She was born July 25, 1929 in Buffalo, NY, daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (LoHouse) Horn also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Winfield in 2013; siblings, Betty Boling, Dorothy Spengler and Alva Ritchie.
Mrs. Duken worked for Charles L. Mancuso & Son and at Darien Lake. She enjoyed camping, playing pinochle, had a love for animals especially cats, her greatest joy was time spent with family.
Surviving are her loving children, Richard W. Duken of Wilmington, OH, Patricia (Michael) Reich and Diane (Benjamin) Bonarigo all of Batavia; 7 grandchildren, Kelly (Sarah Ravely) Reich, Ben (Lisa Clattenberg) Bonarigo, Jr., Adam (Sarah) Reich, Justine (Brennan) Briggs, Elizabeth Bonarigo, Richard and Stacy Duken; 4 great-grandchildren also survive along with several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Duken's wishes were to have funeral services held privately by her family. Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery with her husband and memorials in her memory can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Carol Grasso, mom's dear friend and hairdresser for over 45 years and especially the last 3 for all the love, support and kindness shown our mother.
