Miss Lucy Puma

Oakfield - Lucy Puma, 95, of Oakfield, longtime employee of G.T.E. Sylvania in Batavia, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 at United Memorial Medical Center.

She was born July 27, 1920 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Sebastian and Mary LaBue Puma.

A lifelong member of St. Padre Pio Parish, Lucy enjoyed knitting, gardening and crocheting. She loved to watch television and her favorite show was Everybody Loves Raymond.

She is survived by her brothers, Charles Puma of Arizona and Joseph Puma of California; several nieces and nephews including Joseph (Geri) Puma of Byron, great nieces and nephews, Aimee(Jeff) Maurer of Bergen, Mark Puma of Brockport, Joel Puma of Batavia, and Jaime Ayala of Batavia and a lifelong friend, Marjorie Hedges of Oakfield.

Lucy was predeceased by her nephew Nicholas Puma and her brothers John and Anthony Puma.

Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Padre Pio Parish, St. Cecilia's Worship Site, 56 Maple Avenue, Oakfield.  Entombment will follow in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
