Margaret "Louise" Stevenson Guiste

Batavia - Mrs. Margaret “Louise” Stevenson Guiste, 74, of Batavia, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.

Mrs. Guiste was born October 24, 1935 Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Frank Robert and Rillie (Frey) MacAdoo.

She collected elephants and hats and enjoyed country music and dancing.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin G. Guiste, whom she married August 30, 1997; 5 children, Brad (Lori) Stevenson of Gainsville, Barb (Larry) Dewitt of Batavia, Bruce (Liz) Stevenson of Fulton, Bev (John) Dyrbala of Alexander and Brett (Bobbie) Stevenson of Batavia; 2 stepsons, Gary (Denise) Guiste and Patrick (Bethany) Guiste, both of Batavia; a brother, Don MacAdoo of Knowlesville; 2 sisters, Emma Pritt and Joanne Brown, both of Lyndonville; 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. 

She was the wife of the late Robert Lewis Stevenson who died in August, 1983, sister of the late Bob and Ken MacAdoo and Leona Lang.

Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield, where services at 11a.m., Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 or to a charity of the donor's choice.   Burial will be in Cary Cemetery in Oakfield.
