Batavia - Russell E. Phillips, age 52, of Batavia, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 8, 2016.
Russ was born January 12, 1964 in Rochester, a son of the late Gary and Jacquelyn Magee Phillips.
Russ was an amazing cook who loved to garden and feed the birds. He will be remembered by many as a good neighbor who was always willing to lend a hand; whether it was shoveling their driveway, cooking a meal for them or any other task that was asked of him.
Above all, he loved being with his family and spending time with his children.
He is survived by his children, Jaymi Sullivan of Gray, Maine and Eli Mitscher of Attica; his siblings, Greg (Christine) Phillips of Asheville, North Carolina, Tracy Phillips of Warsaw, Betty (Howard) Bogle of Perry and Kelly (David) Warren of Batavia; and many nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.
Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, where his memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Temple Hill Cemetery, Geneseo.
