Rose Mary Kujawski

Rose Mary Kujawski, 88, formerly of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Monday (September 19, 2016) at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. 

She was born October 10, 1927 in Batavia, NY, a daughter of the late Anthony and Carrie Joy Barone. 

Rose was a Registered Nurse and employed by the former St. Jerome Hospital, St. Luke Manor and Batavia Nursing Home prior to her retirement. She was a member of Ascension Parish and its Altar and Rosary Society, bible study group and bereavement committee. She was also a member of the Notre Dame Prayer Group and the Polish Falcons. Rose enjoyed golfing, crocheting, knitting, sketching and painting with oil and water colors. Most of all she enjoyed her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Alphonso Kujawski, who died October 2, 1998 and brothers, Salvatore Barone and Frank Barone. 

Survivors include two daughters, Joan (David) Donnelly of Pittsford, NY and Susan Kujawski of Denver, CO. Four sons, Paul (Rose) Kujawski of Corpus Christi, TX, James (LuAnne) Kujawski of Batavia, Michael (Julie) Kujawski of Rush, NY and Thomas Kujawski of Denver, CO.  Grandchildren, Rebecca Schroeder, Jessica Kujawski, James Kujawski, Melanie Roth, Sarah Marsh, Daniel Donnelly, Michael Kujawski, Kristen Kujawski, Nicholas Kujawski, Nelson Greening and Brian Greening. Great-grandchildren, Joshua Schroeder, Aaron and Adam Kujawski, Tyler Roth, Ethan and Moria Marsh and Joel Greening. Sister Mary Grace Marshall. Brothers in-law, Anthony Kujawski, Henry Kujawski. Sisters in-law, Grace Barone, Gloria Barone, Florence Kujawski, Mildred Kujawski, and Marian Malczewski. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Friday (Sept. 23rd) from 4-8pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 BOGUE AVE., BATAVIA.. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 9:30am at Ascension Parish (corner of Swan and Sumner Sts). Entombment will be in the Fr. T. Bernard Kelly Mausoleum in St. Joseph Cemetery. 

The Ascension Parish Rosary Society will recite the rosary Friday, 3:30pm at the funeral home.
