Byron - Mrs. Mary Jane Shultz, 71, of Byron, died Wednesday, (June 23, 2010)at her home.

Mrs. Shultz was born December 18, 1938 in Batavia, a daughter of the late John and Ola (Sprague) Hale.

Mrs. Shultz was a garage sale nut and also collected dolls.

Survivors include her husband, Alan Shultz of Byron; four sons, John (Debra) Shultz of LeRoy, Jeffrey (Diane) Shultz of Batavia, Mike Shultz of Greece, N.Y. and Terry Shultz of Wilmington, N.C.; a daughter, Jodi (Doug) Russo of Batavia; ten grandchildren, Joey, Jacob, Jeremy, Autumn and Brittany Shultz; Bailey and Kiera Russo; Katie, Stephanie and Josh Shultz; two sisters, Gloria Cotter of Batavia and Loretta Sackel of Auburn and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by a son, WilliamShultz; a brother, Donald Hale and two sisters, Bertha Downey and Jeanette Schultz.  

Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday also at the funeral home.
