Judith J. Parker

Batavia - Mrs. Judith J. Parker, 65, of Batavia, purchasing agent for the former St. Jerome Hospital in Batavia, died on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at United Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. Parker was born September 19, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia, a daughter of the late William Harold and Dorothy Ernestine Kuhn Jahn.

Mrs. Parker graduated from the McCaulley School of Nursing and began her career at the hospital as nurse and later moved onto the position of purchasing agent. A member of the First Presbyterian Church in Batavia, she enjoyed playing the piano and knitting. She was a member of the singing group Sweet Adeline's in Orchard Park.

Her children were her whole world and she absolutely loved and adored her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Byron "Rob" Parker; three daughters, Dawn (Chris) Chugg of Batavia, Jamie (Bob) King of Livonia and Melody (Albert) Ghiloni of Cincinnati, Ohio; two step-daughters, Lisa (Mike) Dranichek and Christine (James) Dowell, both of LeRoy; a step-son,  Jason (Heidi) Parker of Batavia; 12 grandchildren, Stephanie and Felicia Mortimer, Hailey and Phillip King, Erick Chugg, Gabriella and Mia Ghiloni, Alex, Parker and Eleah Dowell, Grace and Sydney Parker; two sisters, Karen (Robert) Koscianski and Cindy (Roger) Barnes, both of Buffalo; a step-sister,  Jane (Michael) Jeffords of Byron; a sister-in-law, Patricia Fraher of Maryland; a brother-in-law, Raymond Wilson of Buffalo; her step-mother, Betty Jahn of Brockport and several nieces and nephews.

She is the sister of the late Linda Wilson.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. Services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 300 East Main Street, Batavia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Memorial Medical Center Foundation, 123 North Street, Batavia. Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.
