Robert Laverne Logsdon

LeRoy - Robert Laverne Logsdon, 70, of LeRoy, a retired union mason with the Brick Layers & Allied Crafts Union Local #3 in Buffalo, died Saturday, July 10, 2010at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester.

Mr. Logsdon was born July 21, 1939 in Batavia, the son of Merita (Kelly) Logsdon of Pavilion and the late Eugene Logsdon.

He enjoyed his family, antiques and Civil War history. He was an avid reader.

Surviving, along with his mother, is his wife of 49 years, Susan (Wilson) Logsdon whom he married April 29, 1961; a daughter, Christine (Jeffrey) Pesesky of Branchport; 2 grandchildren, Dylan Pesesky and Taylor Pesesky, both of Branchport; a sister, Beverly Ryan of Orchard Park, aunts & uncles, Laverne (Mary) Kelly of FL and Peter (Mary Jane) Logsdon of Pavilion; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  

Friends may attend services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St., Batavia. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Lung Assoc. of Western New York, 1595 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.  Condolences may be made at www.bataviafuneralhomes.com.
