VERONICA T. GUBALA

Veronica T. Gubala, 93, of Tonawanda, formerly of Akron, died Monday (July 19, 2010) at Kenmore Mercy Hospital in Kenmore.

She was born in Depew on February 4, 1917 a daughter of the late Andrew and Aniela Krol Baj.

Mrs. Gubala worked at Bell Aircraft during W.W. II and also on the family farm.  She had a great love for her flower and vegetable gardens.

Her husband, Joseph Gubala died on October 28, 1981.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter in law: Frank and Joyce Gubala of Kenmore and John Gubala of Houston TX.  Four grandchildren: Shawn Gubala, Kimberly Gubala, Julie (Drew) Green and Jeffrey Gubala. A great granddaughter, Jocelyn Green.  A brother, Stephen Baj of Kenmore.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  She was the sister of the late: Joseph Baj who died in 1968.

Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4 - 8 PM at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home, 32 John St., Akron.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at  9:30 AM at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church in Akron. (please assemble at church)

Burial will be in St. Teresa of Avila Cemetery.
