MRS. MARION I. GOODWIN

Batavia - Mrs. Marion I. Goodwin, 84, of Batavia, retired office manager for Prudential Life Insurance Company in Batavia, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at United Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. Goodwin was born July 16, 1926 in Byron, a daughter of the late Floyd and Leora Gebhardt Blood.
 
A longtime member of the Assembly of God Church in Batavia, she was very involved in her church's activities and her "church family". She enjoyed doing word search puzzle and needlepoint.
 
Survivors include two sons, Wayne (Marlene) Goodwin of Henrietta and Douglas Goodwin of Batavia; her grandson, Douglas Goodwin, Jr. of Batavia; her brother, Myron (Jesse) Blood of Newfane; two sisters, Frances Samborski of Rochester and Florence Jannain of Batavia; dear friends Patricia and Francis Brunner and several nieces and nephews.
 
She is the mother of the late Paul E. Goodwin who died September 27, 2002 and David R. Goodwin who died January 10, 2007 and sister of the late Harold F. Blood and Catherine Sage.
 
Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. Services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Batavia Assembly of God, 24 North Spruce Street, Batavia. Burial will be in Byron Cemetery, Byron. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Assembly of God Church, 24 North Spruce Street, Batavia, New York 14020.
