Arlene J. Moscicki Corbett

Arlene J. Moscicki Corbett, 85, of Akron, died Monday (September 6, 2010) at Brothers of Mercy Nursing Home in Clarence.

She was born in Batavia on April 16, 1925 a daughter of the late Joseph and Hedwig Krzanowicz Moscicki.

Mrs. Corbett was a seamstress for many years and enjoyed cooking and friending with her classmates.  She loved eating out with her breakfast club and was a longtime member of St. Teresa of Avila R.C. Church in Akron.  She was a teller at the Bank of Akron for many years prior to her retirement.

Surviving are two daughters and a son in law, Nancy Blair of Orlando, FL and Barbara and Ronald Walker of Depew.  Her son and daughter in law, Alan and Candice Corbett of Berea, OH. Five grandchildren, Sarah Blair, Ryan (Stacy) Walker, Andrew Walker, Jacqueline Corbett and Adam Corbett.  Four great grandchildren, Ryan Cash Walker, Vanessa Blair, Isabella Blair and Addison Corbett.

Two sisters, Eleanor (late Sal) Polito and Genevieve (late Eugene) Adamski both of Batavia.

She was the sister of the late, Stanley (late Justine) Moscicki and Leo (late Maxine) Moscicki.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8PM at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, 32 JOHN ST., AKRON where prayers will be Friday at 9:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Teresa of Avila R.C. Church.  Burial will follow in St. Teresa's Cemetery.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Teresa's Church or Akron Volunteer Fire Co.
