Alyce M. Syracuse

 Alyce M. Syracuse, 98 of Rochester formerly of Batavia, NY died September 7, 2010 in Park Ridge Hospital, Rochester NY. Born July 12, 1912 in Batavia, NY daughter of the late James (Rose LoTempio) Munsell. Mrs. Syracuse was retired from Batavia Times where she was a proof reader for many years and a member of Ascension Parish (St. Anthony’s). 
 
Preceded in death by her husband Louis R. Syracuse who died in 1981, brother Peter Munsell, sisters Florence Walton, Anna Trimarche, Mary Polino and Josephine Dispenza. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Lehmann of Byron. 4 Grandchildren  Frederick Lehmann of Rochester, Michael (Melissa) Lehmann of Rochester, Kristina (Steve) Martino of California and Debora Lehmann of Byron,10 great grandchildren survive along with nieces and nephews. 
 
Friends may call from 3 to 7 PM on Thursday September 9, 2010 at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc., 329-333 West Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020. Prayers will be recited on Friday at 9:00 AM at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Ascension Parish (St. Anthony’s site), 122 Liberty Street, Batavia. Entombment will take place in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
