Oakfield – Mrs. Nora M. Steele, 89, of Oakfield, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at United Memorial Medical Center.
She was born June 23, 1927 in Syracuse, Missouri, the daughter of the late Maynard Carson and Philia Hatfield Steele.
Survivors include four children, Donald (Susan) Schmigel of Corfu, Terrence Schmigel of Texas, William (Eileen) Schmigel of Missouri and Starre Szelag of Alaska; her daughter-in-law, Ginger Schmigel of Basom; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
She was the mother of the late Lon Schmigel who passed away on December 6, 2016.
There are no prior visiting hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Alabama Cemetery in Alabama.
