Carol E. Schmitt

Carol E. Schmitt, 89, of Akron, died Thursday (November 11, 2010) at Brothers of Mercy Nursing Home inClarence after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Akron on November 20, 1930, a daughter of the late Ward and Ruby Danser Hunt. 

For many years, she was a sales clerk at Henry's Candies in Alden and was an accomplished sewer.  She was a a member of the Alden Presbyterian Church.

Surviving is her husband George Schmitt whom she married on Jan. 13, 1951.  Two sons.  Larry Schmitt of Los Angelus, CA and Lester (Laurie) Schmitt of Cooperstown, NY.  A daughter, Linda (Robert) Wideman of Akron.   Grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

No prior visitation.  Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
