LEONARD A. "JON" JASINSKI, III

Age 49, of Batavia, died Monday afternoon February 27, 2017 at United Memorial Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born October 19, 1967 in Batavia, NY to Kathleen (Pastecki) Jasinski of Batavia and Leonard A. (Sharon) Jasinski, Jr. of Batavia. He was preceded in death by uncles, David and Walter Jasinski. 

Jon was employed by Brylin Hospital as a Mental Health Technician, he loved his job and the and the many relationships he formed over the years. He was an avid sportsmen that enjoyed the quiet peace of the woods and had the talent to lure in the "Big Buck." 

Surviving along with his parents, is his maternal grandmother, Regina Hovey of Corfu; aunts and uncles, Patricia Epple of Batavia, Kimberly Hovey of Corfu, Julie (Tom) Madden of AL, Mark (Mary Frances) Hovey of LA, Richard (Mary) Jasinski of Elba, Sophie "Bridget" Zeagler of Batavia, Joan Dispenza of Batavia, Thomas (Sue) Jasinski of NC along with many cousins and dear friends. 

Jon's family will be present from 5-8 p.m. Thursday March 2, 2017 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC, where prayers will be recited 11:30 a.m. Friday March 3 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon at Resurrection Parish (St. Joseph's Site). He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery, memorials in his memory can be made to Genesee Cancer Assistance c/o UMMC 127 North Street Batavia or Volunteers for Animals/Genesee County Animal Shelter 3841 West Main Road Batavia, NY 14020 or a charity of the donor's choice.
