Alan C. Doctor

Alan Charles Doctor, 56, of the Tonawanda Indian Territory,  entered into rest on Wednesday (August 24, 2011) at Erie County Medical Center.

He was born in Batavia on September 22, 1954, a son of the late LaJoie and Eloise Abrams Doctor.

Mr. Doctor was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served from 1972 to 1976. He achieved the rank of Sergeant E-5 and was awarded an Expert Rifle Badge, Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Medal.  He is a member of the Wolf Clan and was an owner of Doc's Smoke Shop.

Surviving is his wife, Monica,  three Sons, Uriah, Isaiah and Eli Smoke, three brothers, Meredith (Shirley) Doctor, Bruce (Bonnie) Doctor and Paul Doctor.  A sister, Brenda (Jeff) Batt. Nine grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be Saturday at the Tonawanda Indian Reservation Baptist Church from 11 am to 1 pm.  Services will follow at 1 pm with Rev. Robert Dean Officiating.

Burial will follow in the Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors.
