Elaine M. Emasie, 92 of Batavia, died October 21, 2011 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born October 25, 1918 in East Pembroke to the late Seward Waldron and the late Helen Waldron Osborn. She was employed by Sylvania for 25 years. She began working for them the day they opened until the day they closed. Mrs. Emasie was a lifelong member of Resurrection Parish-St. Joseph’s Church. Her hobbies which she loved doing were reading, puzzles, and crocheting. For years she donated afghans to the Genesee County Nursing Home.
        Elaine was a beautiful, loving, caring, honest lady who touched many people. Her family, friends, and all who knew her were lucky and blessed to share their lives with her. The words faith, family and friends have always described what was most important to Elaine. She will be greatly missed each and every day. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband Anthony Emasie October 10, 1990, they were married when she was 16 years old. One brother, 3 sisters and 3 infant children also precede her in death. 

She is survived by 2 children, Marie (Nick) Tundo of Batavia; David (Linda) Emasie of Columbia, SC; 10 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 30 great-great-grandchildren; brother Thomas (Jean) Waldron of Jefferson, OH; along with several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Friends may call on Monday October 24, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. Prayers will be recited 9:00 AM on Tuesday October 25, 2011 at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 AM in Resurrection Parish-St. Joseph’s Church 303 East Main St. Batavia, NY 14020. Entombment in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum in Batavia.
