She was born in Batavia, NY on April 25, 1932, daughter of the late Salvatore and Josephine Morreale DeFazio.
Ms. DeGoris was a graduate of Batavia High school class of 1951. She was also a graduate of Rochester School of Practical Nursing. She was employed at Batavia Nursing Home for 18 years prior to moving to Florida and employed in nursing in Florida until her retirement. Ms. DeGoris was also a licensed cosmetologist.
She is survived by her son Patrick C Cavigliano II ( Arthur J Nelson) whom reside in Ellijay, Georgia. Also survived by sister, Rose (Tom) Butera of New Port Richey Florida; brother, John DeFazio of Rochester NY; sisters, Felicia Boies and Mary Dee Ognibene, both of Batavia. Also surviving are cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She is predeceased by brothers Leonard DeFazio and Alphonso DeFazio and sister, Concetta Penepent.
There will be no prior calling hours. A celebration of her life will be planned for a future date in Batavia, NY.
"Jo Marie" will be given a place of distinction in the home of her son Patrick Cavigliano and his spouse Arthur Nelson in Ellijay, Georgia.
