Hazel was born in Perry, NY on January 28, 1931 a daughter of the late Fayette H. Leora Kelly Beaumont.She was a graduate of Perry High School, and received her associate’s degree at Canton College. She was a homemaker and operated a seamstress business from her home. She was a member of the home bureau, Silver and Gold Club, and a former 4-H leader. She enjoyed doing ceramics, gardening, watching the Buffalo Bills and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Seymour K. Beaumont who died on August 17, 1995 and a sister Mary Blessing.

She is survived by her 2 sons: William F. Beaumont and Ward S. (Barbara) Beaumont both of Perry, 1 sister: Evelyn Page of Castile, 5grandchildren: Lindsey Beaumont, Hillary (Chad) Shaffer, Elizabeth Beaumont, Matthew Beaumont, and Catherine Beaumont, 3 great-grandchildren: Jake Faryna, Taylor Rice, and Lila Beaumont, along with many nieces and nephews.

Age 75, of Batavia, died peacefully Monday evening February 27, 2012 at the Genesee County Nursing Home. She was born July 19,1936 in Buffalo, New York, a daughter of the late Henry & Emma (Heidenreich) Sliker, also preceded in death by her husband Roger C. in 1993 and a brother George Sliker. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, was an avid gardener, a wonderful woman who enjoyed children and was a devoted mother.

Surviving is her loving son Mark Zetterberg of Akron; brothers John J. (Carol) Sliker of E. Pembroke & James (Della) Sliker of Medina; sisters Jean Hale of Elba, Arlene Herod of Batavia and Mary (Monroe) Sommers of Pembroke along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, great-great nieces/nephews and friends.

Family and friends may visit from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Thursday March 1 at the Michael S. Dorothy H. Argulski, 84 of Batavia died peacefully Monday (February 27, 2012) at United Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was born in Batavia on August 18, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Wozniak Tomaszewski.

Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly remembered as a remarkable women who had an immense love for her family.  She loved to work in her yard especially “Grandma’s Garden” and enjoyed cooking traditional polish foods.

She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Argulski who died January 30, 1988.

Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Raymond and Nancy Argulski of Cleveland, NY. Daughter and son in-law, Joan and Terry Cole of Castile.  Brother, Jerry Tomaszewski of Batavia.  Sister, Carol (Harry) McCurn of Rochester.  Also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends of the family are cordially invited to share their thoughts, condolences and fond memories with the family on Thursday from 5-8pm at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home, LLC, 2 Bogue Ave., Batavia.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 12pm at Resurection Parish (St. Joseph Church). 

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mary N. Mancuso, 97 of Batavia, passed away on Sunday February 26, 2012 at Canterbury Woods, Williamsville, NY.

She was the wife of the late Dominic C. Mancuso, a co-founder of Charles Mancuso and Son, Incorporated. He successfully operated Mancuso’s Restaurant and Bowling Alley for many years.

Mary was born in Cleveland, OH, on October 29, 1914, to the late Louise Kisella and William Neubert. At the age of six months, they moved to Batavia where she has been a resident all of her life. Mary was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s School and lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Church. She was very active in the St. Joseph’s Home School Association and a member of the Senior Sodality. During the Monsignor Schwartz administration she was an active supporter of various activities including the annual Lawn Fete, church dinners and bazaars. She was a member of St. Jerome’s Guild and the Cooperative Extension. She also served on the Board of Director’s at Notre Dame High School. Mary and Dominic served on the Advisory Council of Rosary Hill College during the years Mary Lou attended there.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Paul) Messina of Batavia, and Mary Lou Mancuso of Amherst; step sons, Vincent Mancuso of Boca Raton, FL and Retired Colonel Dominic L. (Angela Miller) Mancuso of Panama City, FL; granddaughters, Shelley (Robert) Bailey of Painted Post and Rebecca (Derk) Hendriksen Messina of Atlanta, GA; step grandchildren, Mary Jo Otto of Pittsford, Michael Mancuso also of Pittsford, and Dominic (Danielle) Mancuso of Victor; Glenn (Renee) Mancuso of Shreveport, LA, Gregory Mancuso of Houston, TX, and Tracy (Steven) Kelley of Panama City, FL; Germaine Irrera, Nathan Mancuso Jr., David (Denielle) Mancuso all of Batavia and the late Stephen Mancuso; great-grandchildren, Robert and Collin Bailey of Painted Post; and Zara and Luca Hendriksen of Atlanta, GA; seven step great-grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild, brother Alex (Mary) Neubert of Batavia, and sister-in-law Gloria (the late Frank) Neubert, along with special nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her step son Nathan Mancuso Sr., sisters Irene Brenkus, Blanche Schrock and Frances Neubert; brothers John, Julius and Frank Neubert.

Patricia A. Chilano, 65 of Batavia, died  February 23, 2012 at her home in Batavia. She was born November 22, 1946 in Batavia, New York to the late Russell (Veronica Hayes) Chilano. Ms. Chilano was retired from the Dietary Department of the Genesee County Nursing Home. She was very passionate about the care of the elderly and her work.

She is survived by a brother Joseph (Meg) Chilano of Batavia, two nephews Michael (Catherine) Chilano of Rochester, Andrew Chilano of Akron and a goddaughter Maria Frieday of Batavia.  

There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral Services will take place 11:00 AM on Thursday March 1, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum in Batavia. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Christine M. Blasioli, 93 of Batavia, died February 24, 2012 at the Crest Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center in Fairport. She was born August 15, 1918 in Glasport, PA to the late Joseph (Carmella Mangone Pullinzi) Tramontana. Mrs. Blasioli was the owner for 50 years of Christine’s Beauty Shop in Batavia. She was a member of Ascension Parish (St. Anthony’s), the Altar & Rosary Society, the St. Nicholas Society and the Paolo Busti Cultural Society. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Blasioli Sr and son Nicholas Blasioli both in 1998. Also two brothers James Tramontana, Patrick Pullinzi, three sisters Clara Scuderi, Mildred DiSanto and Anna Pullinzi.     

She is survived by a son Frank Blasioli Jr. of Pittsford, daughter in law Jean Blasioli of Spencerport, sister Eleanor Longobardi of Batavia. 6 Grandchildren, Joseph, Olivia, Blasioli of Pittsford, Maria (Ripton Hunter) Blasioli of Rochester; Janine Blasioli of NJ; Maryalice (Cody) Kaminski of Gates; Peter Blasioli of Liverpool, 2 great-grandchildren Justin and Renee Hunter survive along with several nieces and nephews.

Beatrice A. Kjos, 80 of Batavia, died suddenly February 23, 2012 at her home in Batavia. She was born October 17, 1931 in Batavia to the late Peter (Mildred Sprague) Chatt. Mrs. Kjos was retired from P.W. Minor in Batavia. She enjoyed reading books and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne Kjos and a son Donald Hagen.

She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Hagen of Georgia, sons Terry (Terry) Hagen of Texas, Timothy (Sandra) Hagen of East Shelby, NY, Kenneth (Joan) Hagen of Rochester and a brother Robert (Shirley) Chatt of Batavia. Four grandchildren Kenny, Matthew, Torie and Shelby survive along with many nieces and nephews.

Margaret McCready, 95 of Batavia, died February 21, 2012 peacefully at Williamsville Suburban Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was born May 8, 1916 in Buffalo to the late Edward F. (Mary E. Reuther) Smith. Mrs. McCready worked as a Registered Nurse for many years and was a Head Nurse at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw before she retired. She was very active with the Order of the Eastern Star and former District Deputy Grand Matron. Mrs. McCready was an avid New York Yankee fan, active in the Board of Election in Castile and very devoted to her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Carl D. McCready Jr., son Bruce McCready, daughters Linda and Mary Elizabeth McCready, brother Edward “Skeeter” Smith, sisters Rose Krajeski and Eileen (Miller) James. 

She is survived by sons David J. McCready of Batavia; Carl (Sharon) McCready III of FL; daughter Debbie Larson of Batavia; brother David (Carol) Smith of Depew; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren,  along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Service in celebration of her life will be held in May at a time and date to be announced.  Interment will take place in Grace Cemetery, Castile.

Age 88, of Oakfield and formerly of Batavia, died peacefully Monday morning February 21, 2012 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born January 29, 1924 in LeRoy, NY daughter of the late Frank & Carmella (Zalacca) O'Geen and was also preceded in death by her husband Walter P.; son Joseph; sisters Josephine Tomaszewski & Connie O'Geen. She was a member of Ascension Parish and worked for many years at Batavia Downs. An avid card player, Mary loved to be with family, friends and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Surviving is her loving daughter Mary Eleanor (Steve) Wells of Oakfield; brother Fran (Chip) O'Geen; sister Sarah O'Geen; 3 grandchildren Paul, Nick & Ashley; 3 great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Megan & Carter along with many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

Donald F. Koepp, 70 of Batavia, died February 19, 2012 at Buffalo General Hospital under Hospice Care. He was born April 19, 1941 in Lockport, to the late Peter (Helen Bullock) Koepp. Mr. Koepp was retired from Angelica Textiles in Batavia. He enjoyed camping at Godfrey’s Pond and being with his grandchildren. He was a brother of the late Edward and Peter Koepp.

He is survived by his wife Lindy L. (Kelso) Koepp of Batavia;  sons Justin (Denise Wahl) Koepp of Batavia, Dana ( Sue) Koepp of Batavia, Peter (Laurie) Koepp of Darien, Mark (Ginger) Koepp of Oklahoma. One daughter Jessica (Gary) Williams of Batavia, 10 grandchildren survive along with many nieces and nephews.
