Mrs. Rita Jane Seaburg

Oakfield - Rita Jane Seaburg, 85, of Oakfield, assistant Manager for M&T Bank in Batavia, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at her home under the care of HomeCare & Hospice.

Mrs. Seaburg was born February 22, 1932 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Lee and Agnes Krantz Goodman.

An employee of M&T Bank for over 20 years, Rita was a member of St. Padre Pio Parish, served as a 4-H Club Leader and was a member of the Oakfield Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  A devoted wife and mother, she was an avid supporter of numerous charitable causes.

She is survived by her husband, Duane Merrill  Seaburg, whom she married on June 7, 1952 in Batavia; her daughters, Michele (Thomas) Graham of Oakfield and Marcella (Jeff) Brackett of Webster; four granddaughters, Erin Graham of Longview, Texas and Elizabeth, Emily and  Erica Brackett, all of Webster; two great-grandchildren, Hadley and Harper; and nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her son Mark Seaburg, who passed away on April 4, 2009 and is the sister of the late William Goodman and Dorothy Goodman Hunt.

There are no prior visiting hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery, Batavia.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rita’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 315 Alberta Drive, Amherst, New York 14226.
