PAULINE J. ARGENTO ~ Batavia

Age 98, died peacefully Wednesday August 9, 2017 at The Villages of Orleans Health and Rehabilitation Center in Albion. She was born October 24, 1918 in Livonia, NY to the late Patsy and Lucy (Burgio) Vigneri, also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph F. Argento, Sr.; son, James C. Argento; grandson, James J. Argento; siblings, Alfonso "Al" (late Josephine) Vigneri, Chuck (late Pauline) Augello, Frank (late Irene) Vigneri, Philip Vigneri, Rose (late Carl) Mattioli, Carmen (late Sam) Palermo, infant sister, Josephine. 

Mrs. Argento was a longtime member of St. Padre Pio Parish and not only enjoyed culinary treats, but was a wonderful cook. She loved the casino's and her many trips with her son, Joe to Las Vegas. Pauline lived a long, fruitful life with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with having a soft spot for Cooper & Stella, her four legged friends. 

Surviving is her beloved son, Joseph F. (Diane) Argento, Jr. of Batavia; her daughter-in-law, Marylou Argento of E. Amherst; brother, Patsy (late Marie) Vigneri of Elba; sisters, Rosalie (late Arthur) Pastore of Batavia, Josephine (Anthony) Deni of Batavia, Caroline Vigneri of Elba, Mary Jane (Nick) Pilla of Ogden; grandchildren, Marisa (David) Jasinski, Nicholas Argento, Kristine (Todd) McDonald & Michael Argento; 6 great-grandchildren former daughter-in-law, Patricia Argento of Elba; sister-in-law, Alice Vigneri of Batavia; sister-in-law, Mary (Joseph) Speranza of Las Vegas, brother-in-law, John Argento of CA; special niece; Joanne Lowe of Las Vegas; along with many nieces and nephews. 

A special thank-you to, Shirley Lacey, Pauline's home health care aid for the kind, caring, and compassionate ways. 

The Argento family will be present from 4-8pm on Sunday August 13, 2017 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where prayers will be recited 9:15am followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial St. Padre Pio Parish (Elba Site). She will be laid to in St. Joseph's Cemetery following mass.
