Ronald F. Ellingham Sr., 75 of Stafford, died August 12, 2011 at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. He was born October 31, 1935 in Batavia, NY to the late Robert (Carmelita Blatt) Ellingham. Mr. Ellingham worked for many years as the Postmaster in Oakfield. He was a former member of Resurrection Parish-St. Joseph’s Church, Oakfield Lions Club, and he was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Ron loved the outdoors, landscaping and traveling. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by a brother Jerry Ellingham.

He is survived by his wife Josephine M. (Campesi) Ellingham of Stafford; son Ronald F. (Lara) Ellingham Jr. of Fairport; daughter Terri L. Snyder of LeRoy; sister Mary Skeet of Batavia; brothers Robert (Sandra) of Elba; James of FL; Timothy and David Ellingham both of Rochester; 6 grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews also survive.

There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be private. Entombment will take place at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.

Diane G. Kruszelnicki, 59 of Batavia died August 10, 2011 at the Batavia Nursing Home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 19, 1952 in Batavia, NY to the late William  and Vivian (Donnelly) Lambert.  Mrs. Kruszelnicki was a homemaker, and a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish (Holy Name of Mary – E. Pembroke). She was a kind and generous person who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Kruszelnicki in 1999, a brother Thomas Schlonski and two sisters Barbara Muoio and Carol  Grant.

Diane is survived by her son David B. Kruszelnicki of Fulton, NY, a brother Donald (Barb) Schlonski of LeRoy and a sister in law Donna Schlonski of Webster, NY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Clarence E. Alvut Jr., 81 of Batavia died August 6, 2011 at the New York State Veteran’s Home in Batavia. Born May 28, 1930 in Penfield, NY to the late Clarence (Edna E. Swager) Alvut Sr.. Mr. Alvut was retired from Delco Products/GM where he worked for 32 years. He served in the US Army where he was in the Honor Guard during the Korean Conflict. Clarence was a member of Ascension Parish-Sacred Heart Church, the former Moose Club and the AR-GYS Camping Group. Woodworking, gardening and watching his grandchildren play sports were among his favorite pastimes.

He is survived by his wife Barbara (Kowalik) Alvut, a daughter Sandy (David) DiSalvo, a son James (Brenda) Alvut, all of Batavia, his grandchildren Aren and Valerie DiSalvo and Emily and Michael Alvut; brother George (Ginny) Alvut of Florida, 4 sisters Jean (Ike) Stanton of Hamlin, Shirley Radley and Beverly Squires both of Batavia and Victoria (Gary) Walbridge of Alabama survive along with several nieces and nephews.

Ralph D. “Bud” Williams, 92 of Batavia, died August 5, 2011 at the Genesee County Nursing Home. Born September 28, 1918 in Batavia, NY, to the late Earl S. (Ellen M. Downey) Williams. Mr. Williams was a WWII Army Veteran serving with the Signal Corp, member of the American Legion and Life Member of the VFW. Bud worked for many years as a printer at the Democrat & Chronicle and the Batavia Daily News. He was a member of Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s Church), Sertoma Club serving as Secretary and Vice President at one time, active member of the Republican Committee, Adirondack Mountain 46-R Club, and the Holland Purchase Historical Society. Bud was an amateur Ham Radio operator, loved wood carving, avid reader and writer that was known for his Letters to the Editor. He loved physical fitness winning 22 medals in all, 10 of them being gold at the Empire State Games and he was recognized for having swam 3,000 miles in the YMCA pool. He is preceded in death by his wife Jane F. (Johnston) Williams and brother Charles S. Williams.

He is survived by three daughters Susan Williams of Batavia; Kathy  (Bob) Stefani of Batavia; Patricia (Charles) Ziegler of Attica; 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Age 80, of Batavia, NY, died Wednesday August 3, 2011 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born May 11, 1931 in Buffalo, NY daughter of the late Harry & Mary (Waite) Atwell also preceded in death by brothers Ken & Gordon Atwell and sisters Arvilla Zagst and Doris Eberhardt. Mrs. Salvador worked for many years as a supervisor at the ARC. A kind, caring woman always helping others and had a deep devotion to her family and in later years found great joy with her faithful companion and protector Toby.

     Surviving is her loving husband Louis V. Salvador with whom she celebrated their 63rd Wedding Anniversary on July 31, 2011; her daughter LuAnne (James) Kujawski all of Batavia, a son Douglas L. (Sally) Salvador of Chelsea, Oklahoma; sister Florence (George) Foster of Florida; 7 grandchildren David & Joseph Salvador of CA, Gregory & Christina Salvador of FL, Susan Salvador-Boss of Batavia, Jim (Beth) Kujawski of Attica and Melanie Roth of Batavia; 3 great-grandchildren Courtney & Amanda Boss, Tyler Roth along with many nieces and nephews.

Michael J. Fabio, 91, of Batavia, died Tuesday (August 2, 2011) at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Buffalo after a brief illness.

He was born in Batavia on June 18, 1920, a son of the late William and Rose Adamski Fabio.

Mr. Fabio was the owner of Fabio Electric for over 50 years.  He served his country as a combat engineer in W.W.II having  attained the rank of Tech. 4. He served in the Pacific and European Theaters and was the recipient of the American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with One Bronze Star, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the W.W. II Victory Medal.

He was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church, the Holy Name Society and the Polish Falcons Club.  Throughout the years he performed countless volunteer hours with the church lawn fete, bingo and church usher. 

Surviving is his wife of over 68 years, Mildred Samul Fabio whom he married on May 8, 1943.  Two daughters and sons in law, Mary Ellen  and David Gear of Avon and Lori and Thomas McJury of Fairport.  Three sons and four daughters in law, David and Judy Fabio of Amherst, Paul and Karen Fabio of Pauline, SC, Michael and Debbie Fabio of Pittsburgh, PA and Sherrie Fabio of Elba.  Fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He is the father of the late Daniel C. Fabio who died in 2007 and brother of the late Anthony Fabio and Mary Burnham.

Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 - 8 PM at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC., 2 BOGUE AVE., BATAVIA.   Prayers will be Friday at 9:15 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart Church) with Rev. Eugene Slomba as Celebrant.  Full Military Honors will follow at the church.

The Sacred Heart Holy Name Society will recite the rosary at the funeral home at 3:45 PM Thursday.

Daniel J. Russell, Sr., 54 of Silver Lake, died July 31, 2011 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. He was born May 31, 1957 in Memphis, TN to the late Robert Russell and Chapete (Napper) Russell of Memphis, TN. Dan worked many years for Coca-Cola of Rochester and was a longtime member of the Masonic Constellation Lodge 404 in Perry. He was a musician known by many as “Dan the Sax Man”.    
 

He is survived by his wife Kathleen J. (Bosdyk) Russell of Silver Lake; son Daniel J. (Lacy) Russell, Jr. of Syracuse; daughter Tamara M. (Adam) Russell of Wyoming; grandsons Johnmichael, Christian, and Troy Russell; brothers Victor (Cindy); Robert (Elise) Russell both of TN; sisters Delores (Bill) Conklin; Judy (David) Moore; Andrea (John) Weaver all of MS; along with many nieces and nephews also survive.

Eileen B. Pezza, 81 of Perry, died July 28, 2011 at Wyoming County Community Hospital. She was born in Warsaw, New York on January 17, 1930 to the late Robert (Gladys Petherick) Cofield. Mrs. Pezza worked for many years at the Wyoming County Community Hospital. She was a past member of the Warsaw Moose and loved collecting frogs. She is preceded in death by her son Anthony R. Pezza and brother Robert Cofield.

She is survived by daughters Anne Marie (Richard) Faustmann of Huntsville, AL; Mary “Becky” (Bill) McQuillan of West Palm Beach, FL; Barbara (Jocko) Ferris of Perry; sister Audrey (Dale) Davis of NM; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

Helen Fuehrer Zupko a long time resident of Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehab, died July 29th. She was 90. Born January 5, 1921 in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Augustive and Harriett (Schultz) Fuehrer. Helen loved books, making up poems, animals and her garden. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a joy in her life. Also preceding her in death are her loving husband John R. Zupko (2002), sisters Dorothy (Angelo) Alfano; Marion (Robert) Barrett; great-granddaughter Madeline Connelly.

She is survived by her only child Linda (Richard Scharet) Connelly of Castile; grandchildren David (Shelley) Connelly of Perry; Casey (Daniel) Wolcott of Perry; Daniel (Tina) Connelly of Gibsonton, FL; Carey (Shannon) Cartwright of Warsaw; 9 great-grandchildren McKensie, Taylor Connelly; Jennah, Jayden, Jordyn Wolcott; Jon, David Connelly; Peyton and Parker Cartwright.

Services will be private with burial at Glenwood Cemetery in Perry. Kristine M. Suttell, 56 of Batavia, died July 27, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 9, 1955 in Batavia, NY to the late J. Richard (Mary Jane O'Connor) Suttell. Ms. Suttell worked for many years as a Registered Nurse at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia and loved taking care of people. She was a member of Resurrection Parish-St. Joseph’s Church and a monthly Euchre Club. Kris loved shopping, cooking, Christmas, spending time with her family and grandchildren especially.

Survivors include a daughter Erica (Philip) Grazioplene of Batavia; sons Brian (Fiancé Erika Jakubowski) of Batavia; Nicholas (Danielle) of FL; Jonathan Mruczek of Batavia; brothers Richard (Ann Marie) of Batavia; Edward “Ted” of Depew; Timothy (Paula) Suttell of Batavia; sister Kathleen (Ritchie) Fisher of Caledonia; aunts Elizabeth Suttell of Batavia; Rita O’Connor of LeRoy; 8 grandchildren Miranda, Vincent, Gina Grazioplene; Hunter, Dominic, Miah, Giana, and Lakoda Mruczek along with many nieces and nephews also survive.
