Marvin E. Gilliatt Sr.

Marvin E. Gilliatt Sr., 78 of Batavia, passed away August 12, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family under HomeCare & Hospice. He was born May 17, 1935 in Batavia to the late Clarence (Madeline Bartlett) Gilliatt. Mr. Gilliatt worked for many years at Agway Fertilizer in Batavia.  He was an avid hunter who loved to shoot trap and skeet.  Marvin belonged to the Five Points Gun Club. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette (Whipple) Gilliatt, son Marvin E. Gilliatt Jr. and Brother Melvin Gilliatt.

Marvin is survived by his three daughters, Debra (Grant) Carlson, Dawn (Steve) Boyki, and Linda Vigiano, all of Batavia. 9 grandchildren, Bethany & Shyann Ruffino, Robert Mack Jr., Kaylyn & Kiera Carlson, Adrienne, Jennifer & Joseph Boyki, Gregory Vigiano; 5 great-grandchildren, Zaylee Boyki, Ashton Houston, Isla Wolfe, Bailey & Kevin Newton-Vigiano, along with several nieces and nephews. 

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 15th, 2013 from 4-7 at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. An 11:00 AM Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday August 16th, 2013. Interment will take place in Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.
