Nancy T. Talbot

Batavia - Mrs. Nancy T. Talbot, 75, of Batavia, passed away Saturday, (August 31, 2013) at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Talbot was born January 26, 1938 in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Alan and Thelma (Potter) Mellenthein.

Nancy greatly enjoyed cooking, gardening and playing cards; but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Marvin F. Talbot, of Batavia, children, Theresa (Robert) Dearcop of Corfu, Kathleen (Clifford) Platek of Batavia, Marvin (Victoria) Talbot of Indiana, Lanny Talbot of Chili, and Jeannine (Jody) Balon of Attica; a brother, Tom (Rosa) Mellenthein.  18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Nancy is preceded in death by a grandson, Douglas Wandtke, Jr as well as brothers and sisters. 

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, where Nancy’s Funeral Service will immediately follow calling at 7.  Memorials may be made to the Talbot family.  Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.  Please leave a condolence, share a story or light a candle at www.bataviafuneralhomes.com.
