Glenda A. Mullen, 75 of Batavia, died November 16, 2011in the New York State Veterans Home. She was born February 13, 1936 in Canaseraga, New York to the late Glenn (Ada Mitchell) Coombs. Mrs. Mullen was a graduate of Dansville High School, a member of Resurrection Parish (St. Joseph’s Church) for over 45 years, a member of the Batavia Lioness Club and a Volunteer for many years at Batavia Nursing Home. Glenda enjoyed crafting and had her own business at one time, she loved to sew and decorate her home. She loved her dogs, Chloe, Beau, and Rusty.She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur Mullen, two daughters in law Elizabeth Mullen, Patricia Mullen. 

She is survived by her children Joanne (Marc) Petrillo of Rochester, Charles (Beth) Mullen of Rochester, Barbara (Richard) Siefert of Rochester, Bernadette (Robert) Montagliano of Rochester, Kenneth Mullen of Batavia, Frank (Pam) Mullen of Batavia, Mark (Tracy) Mullen of Pennsylvania, Valerie (John) Slater of Maryland, John  (Susan Borkholder) Mullen of Batavia, Mary (Scott) Case of Batavia, Lee (Aldo) Milanese of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Christopher (Stacy) Mullen of Batavia.  Brother James Coombs of Bath, NY, 3 sisters Carol (Fred) Seeman of Holley, NY, Joyce (Ralph) Chidsey of Florida and Joanne (Gene) Isaman of Maryland survive along with 26 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Cynthia “Cindy” E. Clark, 67 of Perry went to be with her Lord November 15, 2011 at the Teresa House in Geneseo. She was born in Warsaw, NY on December 25, 1943 to the late Charles H. Myers &  Laura May (Knapp) Myers of Warsaw. Cindy enjoyed driving school bus for 38 years. She was a life member of the Brick Presbyterian Church in Perry, past member and President of the Perry Emergency Ambulance. Cindy enjoyed family, friends, gardening, reading, camping, hiking, painting, and photography.

Cynthia is survived by her son Christopher M. Clark of Buffalo; sister Ann (Bill) Liberatore of Warsaw; brothers Alan (Sue) Myers of Friendship; Phil (Linda) Myers of Clearwater, FL; good friend William H. Knapp of Nunda; sister-in-law Sharon (Van) Howden of Perry; 7 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews.

Franklin R. “Ace” Maniace, 68of Batavia, died November 13, 2011at Crossroads House. He was born April 29, 1943 in Batavia to the late Salvatore (Phyllis LaLoggia) Maniace.Mr. Maniace was retired from Eastman Kodak in Rochester. He was a member of Ascension Parish (St. Anthony’s). Ace was a well known bowler who bowled for many years on the Batavia Tailors team in Batavia Classic League. He bowled several 300 games and participated in and won many bowling tournaments. He was an avid sports fan especially of the New York Yankees.  He is preceded in death by his brothers John, Charles and Samuel Maniace Jr., and Sisters Josephine DeFazio and Frances Mandelar.    
                                                                                                                        
He is survived by his best friend and companion Charlotte Schlossel of Georgia, sons Philip Maniace of Batavia, John (Michelle) Maniace of West Seneca and daughter Kimberly (Tom) Reed of Gates, NY. Brothers Dominic Maniace, Michael (Beverly) Maniace all of Batavia, Joseph (Joan) Maniace of Wyoming, Nathan Maniace of Batavia, Richard (Kathy) Maniace of Florida and Robert Maniace of Batavia; sisters Mary (Neil) Jacobs, Angeline Siracuse, Lucille (Clarence) Dora, Rose Marie Torres, Dorothy (Lester) Shafer and Linda Maniace all of Batavia survive along with many nieces and nephews and his long time best friends Joe and Carol Grasso of Batavia.

Jennie Elizabeth (Wylaz) Hofmann, 87of Las Cruces, NM. Passed away peacefully on November 11, 2011 in Las Cruces, NM.  She was born November 8, 1924. Jennie and her beloved husband, Laverne Hofmann owned and operated the Byron Superette for forty years and upon their retirement moved to Batavia.She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Laverne Ernest Hofmann. 

She leaves behind three daughters who loved her dearly: Judith (Lloyd) Childs; Susanne (William) Neelin and Nancy (David) Hofmann Kurty. Jennie was blessed with four wonderful grandchildren: Philip (Kris) Kunes; Jennifer Kunes; Christina (Michael) Scarpulla; Kimberly (Jameson Sr.) Ricigliano and five great-grandchildren: Christopher Kunes, Jeremiah Carli Scarpulla; Jameson Jr.; Brayden Ricigliano. Jennie is survived by her brothers Edwin Motsenbocker; Albert Wylaz, and sister Marian (Richard) Anderson.

     Age 95, of Batavia, died peacefully Saturday morning November 12, 2011 at the home of her daughter while under the care of Hospice. She was born December 31, 1915 in Newport, RI daughter of the late Gitullio & Philomena (Georgie) Muratori, also preceded in death by her husbands Enzo Giuliani and Livio Sordoni; sisters Eleanor Perini & Mary Gaggi. She was a member of Resurrection Parish (St. Mary's). Gina enjoyed family picnics and will be remembered as a wonderful, kind, caring woman who had a deep devotion to her children and loved to cook for her children and grandchildren.

     Surviving are her children Alexander "Alex" (Barbara) Giuliani of FL, Enzo (Gail) Giuliani and Diana (Ron) Viele all of Batavia; 8 grandchildren Alex Giuliani, Catrina Madgett, Gina Thomas, Maria (George) Shiffino, Enzo A. Giuliani, Denise M. (Michael) Gallego, Paul (Reagan) Viele, Christina Darron and Katie Viele; 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

     Age 60, of Batavia, died Friday morning November 11, 2011 at Rochester General Hospital. He was born November 3, 1951 in Batavia, a son of Mae (Radley) of Batavia and the late Donald Dusen. Mr. Dusen was a United States Army Veteran, a former employee of US Chrome, member of the ASPCA of America, an avid fan of Rare Bear Racing and was a volunteer at the Batavia VA Medical Center.

     Surviving along with his mother is a son Jessi Dusen; brother James (Catherine) Dusen all of Batavia, granddaughter Kaitlynn Mae Dusen along with niece Lara and nephew Brad.

     Family and friends may visit from 10:00-12:00 Noon Tuseday November 15, 2011 at the Northgate Free Methodist Church 350 Bank Street in Batavia where Funeral Services will begin at 12 Noon.      Age 92, of Batavia died peacefully Sunday morning November 6, 2011 at the Genesee County Nursing Home. She was born November 12, 1919 in Buffalo, daughter of the late Piot & MaryAnna (Wiklinska) Elimnowski and was also preceded in death by her husband John. She worked for many years at General Electric, Irene was a quiet woman who had a deep faith and prayed the rosary daily, and was an avid Bills and Yankees fan.

     Surviving are her children Gerald of Buffalo, Robert A. of Honeoye Falls and Barbara Odachowski of Batavia; special granddaughter Dawn Jaszko of Pembroke, 3 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Michael J., 60 and Cynthia M., 56 Laraby of Perry, died November 11, 2011 in Perry, NY. Michael was born in Rochester on May 14, 1951 and Cynthia was born in Warsaw on September 20, 1955.  His parents are the late George Laraby and Marian (Marks) Wielgoszynski. Her parents are the late Thomas Rice and Florence (Irwin) Rice of Perry. Mr. Laraby was a Corrections Officer, retired from Groveland Correctional Facility. He also worked at Graham Manufacturing in Batavia for many years and served as the Deputy Mayor of Perry for the past six years. Mrs. Laraby was the Bank of Castile branch manager in Gainesville, member of the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce and worked over 20 years for Champion products. They were both pillars of the community and devoted an endless amount of time to the Perry Fire Department. He was past Chief from 1987-1989, currently serving as the Treasurer and was a member for 41 years. She was a member for 38 years and an integral part of the Ladies Auxiliary. They are preceded in death by her brother Thomas Rice, his brother Stephen Laraby, step-father Kayo Wielgoszynski, step-mother Frances Laraby, step-sisters Carol Lawall, Sandra Mattoon. 

They are survived by 3 children Steve, Dave Laraby of Perry; Michele (Bill) Goulet of Silver Springs; 5 grandchildren Brady, Jacob Weber, Morgan, Dawson Laraby and Dillin Goulet; his brother John (Kim) Laraby of Perry, sisters Marcia “Martie” Ebersole of Warsaw; Joanne (Kip) Brown of Pavilion, Jill (Mike) Aaron of Perry; Jackie (Jose) Kelly of Leicester; Melissa (Kevin) Miller of Halstead, PA; step-brother Ron (Marcia) Mattoon of Perry; step-sister Pat Olin of Perry; her brothers Paul of Perry; Jeff (Mary) of Perry; Steve (Polly) of Leicester; Brian Rice of Perry; sister Linda (Bob) Shepard of Perry; along with many nieces and nephews also survive.

Wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Linda Brown, 69, of Elba, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 8, 2011.

She was born June 29, 1942 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Ursi and Dorothy Eifling Hudson.

She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sharing a tandem bike with her husband, and spending time  with her family.  She also loved to photograph and care for any wildlife that  happened by. Linda was always ready to lend a hand and known for her great sense of humor. She cared for others and volunteered playing the piano at church and in monthly nursing home services, as well as running The Clothing Depot, a secondhand store in Elba.  She and her husband, Edward, founded New Covenant Chapel together.  There, she faithfully sacrificed and served the ministry of the gospel for 17 years, as a pastors wife.  

Surviving are her loving husband of 50 years, Rev. Edward W. Brown, Jr of Elba.  Son and daughter in-law, Bill (Laura) Brown of Tampa, Fl. Daughters and sons in-law, Debbie (Scott) Reed of Elba, Dawn (Pat) Skillo of Chili and Laurie (Joel) Hamm of Oakfield. Sisters, Dottie (Ken) Szczesny of Alden, Karen (John) Briggs of Akron and Janice (Mark) Geffers of Northfield, MN.  She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday from 5-9pm at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home, LLC, 2 Bogue Avenue, Batavia.  Funeral services will be Saturday, 11am at Northgate Free Methodist Church, 8160 Bank Street, Batavia.

Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Elba.

Victor C. “Whitey” Kraft, 85 of Perry, died November 10, 2011 in the Wyoming County Community Hospital. He was born in Buffalo on March 21, 1926 to the late Victor (Viola Sutkowski) Kraft. Mr. Kraft was a WWII Navy Veteran and longtime member of the VFW. Mr. Kraft worked for many years for Laborer’s International Union of North America, Local 435 of Rochester, NY. Whitey was a lifetime member of the Warsaw Moose Lodge; an avid coin collector, and he loved to gamble. Mr. Kraft was a man that cared dearly for his family. He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Marks) Kraft (2005); daughter Susan Kraft Shepard; brother David Kraft.
  
He is survived by a daughter Darlene (David) Swede of Perry; brother Kenneth (Helen) Kraft of Palm Bay, FL; sister Lillian Bailey of Jensen Beach, FL; 2 grandchildren Leanne (Hugh) Dillon of Leicester; David Swede Jr. of Perry; 5 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survive.
