Donald C. Nicklas

Don was born in Buffalo, New York on January 9, 1944 a son of the late Francis and Doris Hitzel Nicklas. He served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. Don owned and operated the former Bells supermarket in LeRoy for many years, he also was a bus driver for Livingston-Wyoming ARC in Mt. Morris. He enjoyed boating, working around his home, and tending to his and his daughter’s vegetable garden. He loved to spend time with family, friends and especially with his granddaughters. He is preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law Francis (Shirley) Nicklas; brother-in-law Ronald Brown; nephew Christopher Moorhouse.

He is survived by his wife whom he married on September 26, 1970 Dawn Goodenow Nicklas, 1 daughter: Karen (Michael) Lee of Pavilion, 2 granddaughters: Tiffani and Samantha Bragg, 2 sisters: Carol (Joe) Moorhouse of Seminole, Fla., Janice Brown of West Seneca, a brother-in-law: Claudie Goodenow of Delevan, nieces and nephews: Joanne, Joey, Patty, Michael, Tom and Dan, along with many great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday December 27, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. Perry, NY 14530. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 28th, 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Perry.
