Alan Crawford King

Alan Crawford King, 83, of Akron, passed away on Tuesday (December 30, 2013) at the Buffalo Hospice Palliative Care Center in Cheektowaga.

He was born in Buffalo on October 20, 1930, son of the late Albert and Ruth Ramsey King.

Mr. King was a graduate of Bennett High School and attended Empire College.  He served with the New York State National Guard and retired from the New York State Dept. of Taxation and Finance.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia Turner King of Akron. Children, Linda Harrington, Deborah (Mark) Medakovich, Karen (Richard) Bushen, Jeffrey (Lynnette) LaMontagne, Jacqueline Dillon, David (Elizabeth) LaMontagne.  Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share memories, condolences and thoughts on Saturday (January 4th) from 9:30am-11:30am at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 32 John St., Akron, NY.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11:30am.  Interment will be in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery in Akron.
