austin.jpg Martha M. Austin, 69, of Batavia passed away on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. She was born on October 4, 1947 in Geneva, NY to the late Alfred and Agnes (Nielson) Jepsen. In addition to her parents, Martha is predeceased by her daughter Liza Espinoza.

Martha loved her animals, going to the casino and getting ice cream. She was the world’s biggest Elvis fan. She will forever be remembered for loving her family and everyone around her.

Martha is survived by her son; Albert (Charlotte) Jepsen of Batavia; Son in law Luis Espinoza; 6 grandchildren Aaron, Sabrina, Crystal, Jonathan, Cheyenne and Austin; 2 great grandchildren Aiden and Jenna along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday April 25, 2017 from 4:00 – 6:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. She will be laid to rest in Ridgeway Cemetery in Medina.

Age 69, of Batavia, died peacefully Monday February 20, 2017 at Hospice of Orleans. She was born February 13, 1948 in Batavia, NY a daughter of Shelagh (Kennedy) Hoffman of Batavia and the late William "Coke" Hoffman also preceded in death by her husband, Philip Skill on April 19, 2016.

Billie was a graduate of Batavia High School, received her RN degree from GCC and worked for many years in the Batavia area, and a member of Resurrection Parish. She enjoyed gardening, travelling, especially trips to Las Vegas and area casinos. Billie had an affection for her four legged friend, "Scoots" the cat and often could be seen sitting on her front porch, which she loved to do during the summer months.

Surviving along with her mother are her beloved daughters, Jill of Charlotte, NC and Kelly of Brooklyn, NY; brothers, Paul Hoffmann of Batavia, Rob (late Robin) Hoffman of FL and John (Gloria) Hoffman of CA; sisters-in-law, Joan Skill of Williamsville and Dolores Russo of Pittsford along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

LARRY R. THRONEBURG ~ Batavia

Age 66, died peacefully Sunday April 16, 2017 at Buffalo General Hospital. He was born September 19, 1950 in Norfolk, VA to the late John F. and Mary (Edwards) Throneburg, Jr. also preceded in death by siblings, John F. Throneburg, III and Deborah L. Kadon. 

Larry grew up in Virginia, led a very simple life and worked many years for the Kroger Grocery chain. He enjoyed fishing, Little League Baseball games, the outdoors and tending to flower gardens. 

Surviving is his loving wife, Patty Jo (Hart) Throneburg of Batavia; daughter, Danyel H. (R.C. Sifford) Warren; son, Stephen R. Throneburg; sisters, Grace (James) Updyke, Marcia (Hank) Hodgkins and Mary Beth Blackman; brother, Arthur Throneburg; step-sisters, Kay Fraizer and Terri Werts; grandchildren, Christopher Warren, Shelby Sifford & Layla Throneburg along with and aunt and numerous cousins. 

Services will be held at the convenience of the family and memorials can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Batavia - Lorraine E. Pillo, 52, of Batavia, passed away on Thursday (April 20, 2017) at United Memorial Medical Center.

Lorraine was born January 18, 1965 in Batavia, a daughter of Zada (Wilkie) Phillips of Batavia and the late Loren Phillips.

Lorraine loved life, the sunshine, going to yard sales and spending time with her mother and her dog, Nikki. 

Surviving along with her mother are her son, Robert Alcott of Covington; one daughter, Alisha Pillo of Batavia; one sister, Lynn (Dominic) Canpana of Arizona and a close family friend, Chris Goodie of Churchville.

Lorraine is a sister of the late David Phillips.  

There are no prior calling hours and private services will be held at Grandview Cemetery in Batavia.

18.jpg Norma J. Morris, 81, of Varysburg passed away on Friday April 7, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. She was born on October 12, 1935 in Orchard Park to the late Norman and Grace (Devel) Sieg. In addition to her parents, Norma is predeceased by her husband Walter Morris.

She is survived by her brother; Doug (Katherine) Sieg; niece Shelly (Ron) Pasquarelli; nephew Aaron (Shelby Fonda) Sieg; great nieces Leah and Sarah Pasquarelli, Grace Fonda; great nephews Lucas Pasquarelli and Garrett Sieg.

Norma was a lifetime member of the Varysburg Valley Gospel Church, 2442 Main St. Rt. 20 Varysburg, NY 14167 where her Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at 6:30PM. There were no prior calling hours and interment was private at Varysburg Cemetery.

flowers.jpg Mary Jane Reding, 94, of Attica passed away on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. She was born in Buffalo on October 12, 1922 to the late John and Clara (Maurer) Roetzer.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 73 years Edmund Reding of Attica; children Thomas (Rita) Reding of South Byron, Barbara (James) Manning of Halfmoon, NY., Betty (Tim Putnam) Reding of Rochester, Sue Reding of Arcade, Michael (Connie) Reding of Lakeville, OH., and John (Tammy) Reding of Attica; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.

Walter H. Williams, 80, formally of Oakfield, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, Aprl 7, 2017 at the Oak Orchard Manor in Medina.

Surviving are 3 sons; Scott, Tim and Brian. He leaves behind several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.

Walter served his country in both the Marine Corp and the Air Force. His body was donated to UB Medical Science Department. No services or calling hours.

kmicinski.png Sally Ann (Reisdorf) Kmicinski, 75, of North Java passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday April 19, 2017 after spending a lovely Easter surrounded by her sister, her children and her grandchildren.  She was born on October 2, 1941 to the late Charles and Edith Reisdorf. In addition to her parents, Sally is predeceased by her husband Charles Kmicinski and sister Lesa Reisdorf.

Sally was a determined woman who “beat polio” at age 9 and kept that spirit her whole life. She made the world a more beautiful place. Sally was an elite gardener, talented quilter, crafter, decorator and an excellent cook. She lived life by her own set of rules which usually ended up with a good story that had everyone laughing. Sally was a “kid at heart” and adored her children, grandchildren and family. She was an avid traveler having visited numerous countries; England, Russia, Peru, France, Italy, Greece and Holland plus extensive travel within the United States and Canada.

She will be greatly missed by her children; Christopher (Robin) Kmicinski, Jeffery Kmicinski, Gregory (Nikki) Kmicinski and Katherine (Jobe) Wheeler; siblings Richard (Sue) Reisdorf, Martin (Joanne) Reisdorf, Charles “Chip” (Robert Fish) Reisdorf, Larry (Lori) Reisdorf, Christine Reisdorf and Elizabeth (Frank) Puddu; grandchildren Darren, Chad, Matthew, Emma, Kasey, Kameron, Kendall, Chloe, Noah, Lily and Phebe along with  numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

waldron.jpg Dennis T. Waldron, 80, of Brockport, formally of Batavia passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 18, 2017 at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Greece. He was born on July 6, 1936 in Batavia to the late Horace and Mary (Mckenna) Waldron. Dennis is predeceased by his siblings; Fawn Coughlin, Winifred Cook, Horace Waldron and Patrick Waldron.

Dennis worked for many years in the construction business. He was a United States Army Veteran. Dennis made the decision to return to school in the early 90’s to complete his GED from GLSW BOCES in Batavia all while working for Coach USA in Rochester as a bus driver.

He is survived by his loving wife; Josephine (Swiatowy) Waldron of Brockport; children Colleen Comins of FT. Worth, TX., Dennis P. (Kathie) Waldron of McKinney, TX., Laurie (Jaime) Downey of Rochester, Joyce Liles of Churchville, Tammy Jo (Joseph) Manz of Albion and Shane Waldron of Albany; siblings Loretta Brooks, Joyce Harezga, Benjamin Waldron, Jim Waldron, Christine Moore and Margaret Gilchrist; 10 grandchildren along with many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. An 11:00AM Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday April 22, 2017 at Morganville Cemetery on Morganville Rd. in Stafford, NY where he will be laid to rest.

Michael “Herb” Will, 70, of Alabama, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital after a long illness.
Mike was born in Batavia on September 25, 1946, a son of the late Charles and Sophie (Stuzenski) Will. He graduated from Oakfield-Alabama High School in the class of 1964 and went on to serve his country during Vietnam from 1971-1977 in the U.S. Army.  Mike worked as a truck driver for several companies and retired after many years. He was a parishioner of St. Padre Pio Parish, St. Cecelia’s Church in Oakfield. Having lived most of his life on the family farm on Ham Road, Mike had an instilled passion for farming.  He also enjoyed mowing and catching various critters on the property. He will be remembered as a very kind and generous person, who helped many people over the years.

Besides his parents, Mike was predeceased by his wife, Ruby D. (Van Buren) Will on January 25, 2008. He is survived by his 2 children, Michelle Will of Port Charlotte, FL and Jeremy (Christopher Klubek) Will of Buffalo; 3 sisters, Mary Ann Brown, Irene Will and Susan (David) Fryer; also many nieces, nephews & relatives.

Friends may call on Thursday from (4-8PM) at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, NY 14103. The Rev. Thaddeus Bocianowski will celebrate his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at (10AM) at St. Padre Pio Parish, St. Cecelia’s Church in Oakfield. Interment will be in St. Cecelia’s Cemetery.
